Ehh you're right but I kinda viewed Pitt as the lesser threat to win out, but I guess it's kind of a wash.
The game against the Panthers will be very tough. @Miami will be huge too. And we also can't sleep on the Browns, they took the Patriots down until the end. So basically it's a tough road ahead.
While it's possible, honestly its over... i mean first step would be winning out. Then we need Baltimore to lose 2 of 3, tennessee to lose 1, san diego to lose 1, miami to lose 1 before our game. That 3 game stretch starting with @buffalo did us in... Im glad Geno got back on track today, i don't have a lot of hope for it, but I'm really hoping Geno can become our guy
If we win out, we have a great shot at getting in. Goes without saying winning out will be the tough part.
We also need TEN and/or PITT not tie with us and SD not tie with us too. We basically need to win out and have nobody tie with us. Yeah right
All the Jets receivers today were at least marginally capable of getting open and then making a contested catch. That's a huge difference. You want to develop a raw rookie QB? Don't surround him with raw talent.
There are a few scenarios where 8-8 get us in, but realistically we need to win out. Can't believe the end of that ravens game. And now I find myself rooting for the giants. These games are making me sick!!!
Need Baltimore to lose 2 of last 3 Need Miami to lose against pats next week /win out Recipe for playoffs
So someone give me a scenario that includes the Jets losing in Carolina and winning the rest of the games.
Miami has NE next week and I def think they lose. Then they play at Buffalo and Buffalo is always a headache for them. Then they play us. I could easily see them losing to Buff and NE.
Im not sure what everyone is freaking out about, the Vikings winning would have been a major plus but I never counted on it to happen. I am counting on the Ravens losing 2 of 3 to Detroit, New England, or Cincy. As for the Phins, the Patriots have to beat them next week. I wouldnt call it quits yet, next week things will become ALOT more clear, enjoy the win and look forward to another meaningful game next Sunday.
Baltimore winning today really hurt us But they play at Det. NE at home, and then at Cinci. They can easily lose all 3.
This and with the Packers winning today and Detroit losing makes that trip to Detroit for Baltimore very hard. I expect the Lions to win that game, they are the better team and its at home.
I just used the ESPN playoff machine, set it to have teams win based on win percentage and made the Jets win out. When I changed us from losing to winning @Miami week 17 it put us in the playoffs. I doubt we even win next week, but hey, that's not all that crazy.
PITT loses 2 more games, MIA loses 3 more games (or two more to us and NE), TEN losing 2 more games, SD losing two more games, and BAL losing 3 more games and the Jets going 3-1 down the final 1/4 of the season.
Assuming the Jets beat the browns and blowholes but lose to the panthers: Miami has to lose to one of the other AFC east teams (doesn't matter who) Baltimore has to lose out: @ DET, VS NEP, @ CIN The chargers have to lose just once, so do the steelers. the hardest part of this is having BAL lose all 3. its possible, the teams they play are all difficult playoff caliber teams but they can jet as well win at leads one.
