Name the type of player you would build a championship around then?

Didnt Melo come 2 wins from a finals trip? And they lost to a Lakers team that was VERY good, a lot better than the competition these days.

I doubt we had Aldridge and didn't trade for him if it didn't include Melo. Who would the Knicks have not liked giving up and we know they LOVE trading draft picks.

Yeah I doubt him letting a star leave NY.

Melo is a very good basketball. The BEST players in the league usually win the majority of the finals, but the very good players have their chances too. I believe Melo's teams have lost to the lower seed in the playoffs only 3 times and his teams have made the playoffs every year he's been in the league.

What I do think is true though, you don't want to pay Melo max money and then be paying him that much past his prime while chasing a championship.

Is anyone watching this game? Knicks are up by 34 right now (96-62) with 7 minutes left to play. This is the highlight of the season by far.

    We needed this!

And Bargs just got thrown out (2nd tech) because he trashed talk KG after hitting a jumper when KG was closing out. The first tech was a double tech with him and KG because he just grabbed KGs shorts and tried to trip him while on the ground. Punking KG is awesome, especially since it's Bargs.

I love what Barg did..loved it.

Have to say..they keep harping about the chemistry not being there with this guy..doesnt play defense..blah blah.

I loved the way he has played for the most part. He is not soft as shown tonight...blocking shots...great touch and has played decent defense. Lopez had his way at times with him tonight..but he also blocked a few of his shot. Lopez is a tough defend and Barg is not a center.

Great game...very needed...and Im dying to see how they build of this with a nice schedule the next 5 or 6 games. Would love to see them pull off 4 out of 6..would probably put them in first!

The complaints of Bargs I have are team defense and his legs seem to fail him in the second half. He started off the 3rd quarter ice cold again I think. Besides that, he exceeded my expectations so far, granted they were really low.

It's nice to win, but it was the Nets. If we can take out Orlando tomorrow, I'll be really happy stringing together two wins.

The ball movement was great to see and also Shump looking/feeling confident and not overthinking.

Nice thumping of New Jersey by the Knicks before 13000 of their loyal Knick fans at the Knick alternate home arena

Hopefully this win will springboard us into a winning streak. With the East looking like such shit now, it's still anybody's season. We're only 4 games out of 1st place in the division, despite losing 9 in a row. It felt really good to see the Knicks dominate the Nets. I believe it was their best game of the year.

The standings are comical at this point. Every playoff team in the West is over .500 while we have several that are .500 and under in the east playoff spots right now. Take the #9 team in the west and put them in the east, they're in 3rd place in the conference. That's sad!

Two blowout wins in a row. Good to see. Still way below .500 but these are the teams you have to beat if you want to climb out of the hole

Damn I feel like the Knicks read this, good shit on the back to back Knicks, I think we learned the recipe, share the damn minutes. Like 7 double digit scorers again tonight we need to spread the minutes and stop making Melo play 40 minutes a night. Quick shout out to THJ(Yeah im becoming a homer but I see a Star future for him) and the whole team pretty much. Even JR's mediocre ass supporting from the bench on good scores.

JR catch + shoot >>>>>>>>>> JR dribble and shoot.

It's also the 3rd or 4th straight game Mike Breen has said, "it's amazing how the ball moves once Pablo comes in" It's like he's trying to tell Mike Woodson something.

Yikes. I blame the orange jerseys. Pathetic start, with Kmart out should have inserted Pablo to start next to Ray so the ball moves.

Cut this to 15 or less by half.

Then 8 or less by the start of the 4th.

Then win the game. When you dig yourself this deep of a hole, you have to play defense (Amare) and can't give up open shots anymore. Unfortunately for the Knicks, they do that a lot

And yes Pablo leaves the game and the lead balloons for Boston since felton is playing bad. Awesome job Woodson, take out the one guy who looks to pass first and replace with Felton who is playing bad.

Celtics twisting the dagger right now. The Knciks did nothing to lead in the 2nd Q because they couldn't close out the Q
