Man i would laugh my ass of if Rex is head coach and Clowney is avaliable cuz i know exactly what he is gonna do.
i'd be angry but at the same time i'd also be happy, jadeveon might give us the best defensive line in nfl history. like no joke
Bridgewater will force Houston to trade him to the Jets - re-creating the John Elway scenario and the Jets will win 5 SBs. No one will know that Woody gave Teddy a king's ransom by meeting with him under the Brooklyn Bridge.
The Broncos only won two Super Bowls with Elway and they waited 14 years to win the first one. I'm guessing that Houston is one of the few places that Bridgewater really wants to land if he goes into the draft this year. Tampa Bay would likely be another due to the fact that he'd be 260 miles from home. He grew up rooting for the Fins but there's no way he's going to drop that far and Miami isn't going to trade up with Tannehill in house. Maybe they should but they won't.
The Jets could take 11 players on offense this next draft and still be looking for a few pieces on that side of the ball in 2015. I don't think there's any question about the need to really start churning on that side of the ball.
Don't ruin my dream damnit! Btw Victor Cruz is a Cowboys fan... well he was. Look at his stats against his "favorite" team.
If Bridgewater or Clowney fell to us and we didn't take them, I'd say fire the whole staff. You don't pass up on a franchise quarterback (assuming you don't have one) or the best defensive prospect in a generation, regardless of the situation. The only exception would be if that spot is WELL taken care of AND you can trade down for a king's ransom a la the RG3 trade.
Nice second half, great 4th quarter. Guy was being harassed all game, had 5 drops (1 TD, 2 would have converted for 1st downs), guy throws darts and was very effective avoiding a constant rush (starting RT was out). His one INT was as a result of his receiver slipping and falling on the slick turf. Guy has outstanding arm talent, quick release and very decisive. _
I haven't seen too many of his games, does he go through progressions? What type of offense does that program run?
Short to intermediate quick passes, they rolled him out to the right literally his first half dozen throws, then he takes deep shots. When he had a clean pocket it looks like he's just laying it in there, on the money literally every throw unless its a throw-away. But tonite he was constantly harassed and had to spin out of sacks a half dozen times. Took some sacks because he refused to give up on plays. Not his best game but still was over 60% with 3 TDs, one an incredible throw off his back foot as he was being leveled. I've seen him go through his progressions very well, but he really throws a quick pass, ball is out within 3 seconds. Had a great run on 3rd and 12 and dragged a defender for 13 yards to extend a drive that got them the lead late. _
So, first round pick comes in and Carr, Hundley and Manziel are available. Do you pick them or one of the big 3 wideouts?
Carr, fuck yeah. Hundley, fuck no. Manziel, I'd be happy with it. In terms of the wideouts, its really the big 2 in Watkins and Evans. If Carr's on the board, I am not passing him for anyone other than Bridgewater or Clowney. Manziel vs Watkins would be a tough one though. Potential franchise QB vs elite WR.
