What would you expect...they were all hand picked by Rex.

Yeah Milliner's a 'starter' that has been so bad he'd be cut in the XFL. Geno's a starter that's been historically bad the last six weeks.

It's the 'A+' part of it that gets Rex mocked. If he says he's happy with the draft people just roll their eyes and move on, but calling it an A+ draft when two of your top three picks look like utter disasters is just blatantly denying reality. Or kissing up to Idzik (if it was his draft).

Rex keeps this sort of BS up and they'll start to cue laugh tracks in the background after he finishes a thought. :)

NONE of these rookies would be starting for any other NFL team except Richardson. To say it's an A+ draft class because he has five starters is a joke.

Rex didn't say the drafted players were playing at an A+ NFL level, he said it was an A+ draft.

If Geno develops into a good NFL QB, Milliner is likely to turn into a very good NFL CB in spite of the crying on this site about him. Winters could still turn into a solid starting guard this will be a great draft. I don't see the problem in the head coach characterizing the draft as A+ if he believes these guys are going to be solid NFL players.

Rex didn't say that the players from this draft were playing like top NFL pro's right now. He defended the picks and the potential without BSing everyone. He was walking a line and I have no problem with the HC loving the potential of these players without throwing them under the bus because the roster forced him to play them as if they were solid veteran NFL players.

Good God that's a reach, what has Milliner shown you to think he'll turn into a "very good NFL CB" other than wishful thinking. Wilson showed a ton more his rookie year and never turned into anything but a terrible to middling CB. There's nothing Geno does that leads me to believe he has the tools to be a top flight QB in the NFL.

I agree. While each of Milliner, Smith and Winters might develop into acceptable players in terms of their draft status, odds are overwhelming against them all doing so. Which would be necessary for an A+ rating on this draft pick set.

Rex has no cred at this point. None.

So you think a new GM looking to make his mark on a team let Rex "handpick" his 1st draft? yeeeaaaaaahhh

btw, I also agree with Biggs. I think Milliner will develop as well.

    Relax.

What Rex was simply saying is that Idzik is an fn genius. While most GMs are THRILLED to find even ONE starter, Idzik found FIVE!!!

This effort by Rex is what Webster's Dictionary calls: "Sucking your bosses dick"

Of course he does. Idzik drafted these players, and Idzik decides whether Rex keeps his job. It's Rex's way of sucking up to the guy who decides Rex's fate. It's like telling your boss that he's the smartest person in the world. If Idzik falls for it, he's as stupid as Rex and Terry Boobway.

LOL @ anyone evaluating the draft already. Is the season over? No. Lets evaluate it after the seasons over, you dont do it during the season.

OK. I get it. You guys want Rex to be honest.

Rex being honest on the 2013 draft:

I got five starters from this draft that is great. Lets go through the list.

Dee Milliner: He has a ton of potential but right now he misses tackles and he gets beat so often his nickname is toast in the locker room.

Sheldon Richardson: May be the defensive rookie of the year. Will only get better and be a Jet for ten years. Him and Wilkerson are the best draft choices I have ever made.

Geno Smith: Looked good early but the last four games has looked as bad as any QB ever. I hope he gets better but right now he has BUST written all over him.

Brian Winters: Third round draft choice. I started him between two former all pros hoping they could help him. Instead my two former all pros are playing below average and Winters is playing like a rookie.

I got a starting fullback with a 7th round draft choice and he looks three times better than that 4th round choice I made a few years ago out of KY.

How do you think this would go over in the locker room? Although the press would love it.

You bold the part of a sentence and refer to that like Im saying he is looking for a way out. How did you interpret that. I would ask you to reread because I was trying to be very kind to REX.

Let me explain what the WHOLE sentence meant..it meant Rex would be better to shut up so that he does not show the world that he is not the brighest guy in the world. Calling your draft a+ instead of just saying it was solid..which is still a lie.

Telling the press after one decent game by Milliner..."see..i told you so..come to me at the end of the season and we will see if I was right!!" then benching him the next game.

My point is simply this..everyone has strengths and weaknesses in life. You do your best to strengthen the weaknesses. Rexs mouth is a weakness. What I meant by shutting up was not that he was running...

Christ...why stop there...lets start all 7 and call it the best draft in NFL history right?

If I were Rex...the week when it becomes offical that we are out..I would start all 7.

Then I would start all the undrafted guys we picked up...make it like 13. 50 years from now...NFL analysts will look back at this draft as the greatest draft of th 21st century.

Puzzlement will enter their minds when the following year..not one of them were starting.
