This team is never rebuilding. A team that's rebuilding sucks and gets a top 5 pick and gets an elite player. The Jets are always stuck in mediocrity.

Teams that are bad at rebuilding suck and get a top 5 pick and sometimes get an elite player, for multiple seasons in a row.

The Steelers have rebuilt at least twice in the last 15 years and never lost more than 10 games in the process. The Ravens rebuilt in two surges between 2002 and 2008 and never lost more than 11 games in the process. They went 13-3 in one of those seasons when they saw the chance to grab a QB for a year and make a run.

It's not written in stone that you have to Suck for Luck to rebuild and in fact most people who Suck for Luck wind up Dyin' for Ryan (Leaf) or go Silly for Akili (Smith) instead.

Yea, if the OP was paying attention we actually blew it up last off season. There is nothing to blow up when your overall talent level is at the bottom of the league and you'll have over $40 million in cap space this offseason.

 at tanking for 2 or 3 more years. That's not how the NFL works. What a joke. We're in a transitional period right now. Calm thyself. We all knew this year could be hit or miss due to the amount of rookies and 2nd year players in starting roles. Give us one more more solid draft, bring in a free agent or 2 and we'll be set up for a while. Main problem is QB & receivers. I wouldn't be opposed to tanking the rest of this year for another decent early pick. This draft is deep with QBs and WRs. That's exactly what we need. You can't expect Idzik to fill all the holes and fix everything within one year. Once again we're all back to the "fire everyone" mentality when the problem has been talent all along. Wake up. Idzik did very well considering what he had to work with, with the Sanchez contract, Revis situation and losing several key FAs because we couldn't afford em. This up coming draft should be pretty much all offense. Throw an OLB and safety in there and we're good.

I like how in this post you indicate you believe the Jets are an up and coming team while at the same time stating there isn't anything there to blow up.

My point is that the team has already been blown up. Nice try though.
