go conservative here and try to get a few yards ahead and run clock (or force timeouts)

The look on Genos face, he looked lost, scared and just want the game to be over with.

This is not looking good even though its 0-0.

4 Dolphin drives all right down the field. We stopped them twice on 4th and 1. One INT and a missed FG.

Our offense has been no better. 1st drive missed wideopen Nelson. 2nd drive stopped by the penalty. Third drive stopped by the Cumberland drop.

It may be 0-0 by it does not look good. Hopefully we can get a 1st down and run out the clock. Offense looks terrible. We cannot pass protect. We cannot get anyone open and when we do we cannot take advantage. The defense looks just as terrible.

I took it the other way. If they get it, great. If they don't, the Jets O won't do anything.

It's stupid, though. You're basically benching your QB because his Oline and receivers are playing badly. How is Simms supposed to do better when he's struggled way more throughout his career (was a bad backup in college)?

You're basically disrespecting the whole offense and Geno especially by starting Simms.

How can anyone not want to at least see Simms get a shot??? Why the hell have back-ups?? Sometimes a change is good for the whole damn team.

Philbin is an idiot, you gotta know the team your playing.

Take the points every time against the Jets. We don't score a lot of them.

Jets are gladly going to do the best they can to run this clock out before the half.

    Thanks Joe

I was speaking about Miami. Tannehill missed the touch throw.

Geno only wishes he had what Tannehill has had today.

Absolutely, you are right. Geno might only be 50% of the problem (or 70%, or not the problem at all.)

However, how much of the line's bad play is due to Geno's inability to properly read the coverages? How much of the receivers' play is due to their own ineptitude vs. Geno's hesitation and/or poor throws.

My point is, find out what you have with Simms. Do it now while the game is in contention.

One more half of this miserableness is enough.

if the jets O won't do anything you may as well get 3 points to get ahead. Why go for it?

it's more of a challenge to the jets defense, saying we think we can beat your goal line D

but either way it's the correct call
