Would love to play UNLV, Kansas, or Indiana. We played UCLA a couple of years ago in a home and home. Would like to play a team I can't remember them ever playing.

I checked the UNLV Media Guide and if UNLV and St John's were to play in Maui it would be the first meeting between the schools on the hardwood.

    For the record we are

0-1 all time vs Indiana only meeting in 1987 Final 4
    2-0 vs Chamindade
    0-4 all time vs UCLA
    0-4 all time vs Kansas

We have never played Wake Forest or Vanderbilt

We also signed a home and home with Kansas so I wonder if this game will take the place of our home game with them or if we will play them twice in 2015

SJU loses to Penn State at Brooklyn. SJU just really isn't that good. They play really dumb ball. They have the talent, but Lavin isn't that good of an in-game coach and they make bone-head mistake after mistake. It's tough to watch.

Villanova has taken a 21-19 lead over Kansas with four minutes to go in the first half. I am overwhelmed at how well prepared Jay Wright has this team for this challenge as well as how much guts this team is showing!

NOW, I don't ever want to hear from nyjunc how Villanova never plays anyone good out of their conference, or never gets any big wins on the road. We just beat #2 Kansas on a neutral court. By his standards, that should count for FOUR wins!

This is the first season I am actually rooting for BE teams to win OOC games. Nice win!

    Way to go 'Nova!!!

They should on talent alone. Unranked Dayton beat Ga. Tech (and former Flyer HC Brian Gregory) at Ga. Tech by 10.

I always root for the locals (SJU, Manhattan, etc.) and the "quasi-locals" which to me means the Big East.

The 1st college game I ever saw as a little kid (dating myself) was a Holiday Festival game many, many years ago in the old Garden between Vilanova & Dayton. I got totally caught up in the atmosphere and excitement during the tense, back and forth game. Down the stretch it was insane; I recall watching in awe, a group of both Dayton & Villanova nuts standing on their last row, nosebleed seats at the top of the old Garden (along with everyone else it seemed) and banging on a big metal air vent hanging overhead in the old smoky arena--it was bedlam, roaring bedlam. I've had (and have) 'family' that went both schools (my God son's at Nova, older brother played footbal at Dayton).

Hey junc if yer reading this: being the frontrunner No. Carolina fan that you are, I'm sure you'd go watch the 'Heels live at any opportunity such as when they'd come into the Garden, yes? So you must've seen the 2009 defending NCAA national champion Tar Heels at the 2010 NIT finals at the Garden getting waxed by Dayton?

    ;-)

why are you bringing me into this? I call it as I see it, if a team is playing cupcakes I point it out. Last night was a great win, congrats and enjoy the greatness of Jay Wright:grin:

I was a bandwagoner as a kid, hopping on at the height of the BE when everyone around me liked BE teams but I never hopped off and I will be a fan through good and bad and we have seen plenty of bad this Century including the NIT Finals.

I do usually go when they are in town but I was not at the NIT but did watch every second of that game on TV as I did ALL the NIT games.
