Root for the Bengals to lose !!! We want the Raven/Bengal game, last week of season to mean something !!! IF Bengals have division clinched going into last week, Ravens will play a team of backups.

We'll probably get blown out in week 17 knowing our luck. Which btw would be a fitting end to this season. We win 2 straight against Miami and Oakland, lose to Carolina, beat Cleveland and then lose in week 17 in a win and you're in scenario.

Absolutely not. SD has 4 home games left ... Including hosting the Chiefs in week 17 who might have nothing to play for if they lose to Denver again. We need SD to lose on Sunday.

The Bengals will play hard Week 17 for two reasons ... They'll either be fighting the Colts for the 3 seed or the Pats for the 2 seed, plus they hate the Ravens and I'm sure they'd love to eliminate them and not have to worry about seeing them again.

Hmmm, SD plays Cincy this weekend. Yeah, that's a tough one. Maybe root for Cincinnati to win that one, then lose after that.

I hate to admit it, but watching them play the Cowboys today, I started to get very concerned about that game.

Yes sir. Kind of like the 2nd Pats game where the Jets were down big time early. No way the Jets fight back and win a game like this. Not even with overtime.

I was thinking of that last night , they got very good blitzs even catching Tony Romo off guard yes catching Tony Romo offguard the best escape artist inside the pocket in the game. They gonna kill Geno with his poor awarness lol.

8-8 has a real chance to be the last wildcard. The team with the tiebreakers to do that right now is the Ravens.

I believe the Jets have to win out to make the last wildcard. I give them a 20-25% chance at 9-7.

The fact that this thead is still going is laughable.
We could easily finish 5-11, but I think is 6-10 is the most likely followed by 7-9.
However 5-11 is definitely more likely than us finishing 8-8 or higher.
Miami is better than us, Raiders probably are and we are going to get killed in Carolina (The sad thing is I will be taking my 12 year old son to the Panthers game, and at that point we may need to root for the Panthers as it may be really important).
I do not even feel confident in the Cleveland game, the way we have been playing.

its as simple as lobbing up a pass to ford running a streak route. we can't stop the deep ball, esp. to fast receivers.

Ok, so let me fill in a few blanks here.

How many close games have the Jets lost this year?

    One. To the Pats.

How many games have the Jets lost at home this year?

    One. To the Steelers.

Are the Fins capable of giving the Jets the kind of game that either the Pats or Steelers did?

    Not likely.

The Pats won because they're the Pats and 9 times out of 10 they will win a close game late. it's just what they do.

The Steelers won because they have Ben Roethlisberger and he's proven he can handle the kind of pressure the Jets bring and still win the game for them. On multiple occasions now.

So the most likely result on Sunday is a close game won by the Jets. It's what they've done this year at home and the Fins aren't a team that wins close games late like clockwork and Ryan Tannehill is not Ben Roethlisberger.

I think the Jets are 6-6 come Sunday evening and headed for 7 or 8 wins.

I don't think you need to worry in Carolina though. It would be a huge upset if the Jets won that game.

Miami beat SD, Ind, Atl and Cincy in close one score games.
I really hate to say it but they are flat out a better team than us right now.

Shouldn't question number 1 have the answer of 2, just from your answer of question number 2?

The Steelers game wasn't close. The Jets were down 10 points at the end of the Steelers first drive in the second half and never got closer than that.

And they lost close games to Baltimore, Buffalo and Carolina at home and to the Bucs on the road. They've lost 3 in a row on the road at this point.

I think the Jets have a very good chance at beating them on Sunday.

It used to be important for Cincy to win out before playing the Ravens since we thought we can beat Bal and then want Cincy to win out and not get in the wildcard scene.

It is VERY important for the Bengals to beat the Chargers. SD needs to add some more AFC losses to match the amount of losses we have.

Root for Cincy this week, and vs BAL week 17. Otherwise, root for them to lose so the Bengals have to get up for that week 17 game.

I remember our team turning the ball over 3 times in the 4th quarter in a 3 point loss of that Patriots game, we should have won that.

okay they may yet beat us but they are NOT "Flat out a better team than us"
have you seen their offensive line?

also the jets beat that same atlanta team IN ATLANTA AND the patriots AND the Saints.

They aren't much better than the jets if at all.
