Even if you don't you have enough talent for a talented coach to get you to at least the Sweet 16. Remember, you don't have to deal with a Jay Wright as your head coach.
there is enough talent to be a tourney team but sweet 16 would be pushing it. They have no shooters besides Paige w/o hairston/McDonald. That will make it very tough. They are better than they showed this weekend but very flawed w/o hairston.
what a difference a week makes, the shorthanded Heels knock off the defending champs. They played outstanding, Marcus Paige is so improved it's ridiculous, I heard about Meeks' passing ability but seeing it first hand I haven't seen a big man pass like that in a long time. Great win, a much needed one to restore their confidence. It's too bad they missed 26 FTs last Sunday or they'd be top 10 this week. There are still many issues w/ this team but I am going to enjoy yesterday's win as long as I can.
Dayton upset Gonzaga. I can't wait to hear how this loss should have no impact on Gonzaga's standings as it was played on a neutral site.
UNLV has been announced as part of the 2015 Maui Field along with Kansas, UCLA, Indiana, Vanderbilt, St. John's, Wake Forest and host Chaminade I'm kind of bummed as I have already made plans to go to Ann Arbor to watch the Rebels get slaughtered by the Wolverines in the Big House in September of 2015.
Dayton's a good team. They were about to post back-to-back wins over Top 25 teams by following up the #11 Gonzaga win with another against #18 Baylor. With a 10-point lead coach Archie Miller tried to milk the clock, losing all momentum and ending up losing by 1 point 67-66 last night. Miller kept the freshman in too long, should've put the ball in Jordan Siebert's hands more down the stretch. That loss is on the coach (and UD needs a stud at the '5' spot).
Yeah, I saw this. Considering SJU's OOC sched this season, I'm looking forward to them having at least a couple tough games in two years.
I could see UNLV and St John's in round 1. That would be a interesting as Lavin and Rice recruit a lot of the same players. Honestly I'd love to get UCLA considering they have refused to play us going back to the days of Tark. Even when we were bad they wouldn't play us.
That would be awesome. The way the current SJU team is set, any player that is getting minutes this season will not be on the 2015 team.
St John's vs UCLA would be even more interesting or Indiana vs UCLA now that Alford is at UCLA. They will probably set that up assuming Alford survives till 2015.
I wonder how Syracuse and Baylor are spending Thanksgiving. They're in Hawai'i, and by the time they get out of the civic center, it'll be like 1 AM Eastern. Is Syracuse getting on a flight to get back home for Thanksgiving?
