I remember a few years back, around this time in the season, a buddy of mine who's a Giants fan wanted the team to tank and lose all their remaining games so that they can get a better draft spot. Guess what ended up happening? They won the super bowl. I'll never let him live that down. It's so fucking stupid to think that way. What are you gonna do on Sunday? Root for the Jets to lose? lol I can hear it now... "c'mon throw a pick! we need to draft #12 instead of number #17! lets lose it for the draft!!!" GTFOH

    Someone with arm strength?

I cant be the only who thinks he is injured. Tired of seeing him throw lofted balls, when they allow him to throw.

We have to see what we have for the rest of this season. If Geno doesn't show improvement over the next 5 weeks then this team will have a lot to consider come the draft.

It's getting old watching sh!t QB's that have no chance of getting benched, no matter how inept they play...

At this point of the season...with the state of things...I have decided to say fuck it...another year flushed down the toilet and we know nothing more today than we did yesterday other than Geno is NOT our future QB.

Way to flush one more year of NFL career down the toilet for the vets....

They arent letting him throw anyway,we can't see what we have.I think either way we have to get a QB in the draft next year.

no wonder McElroy took a settlement and went to the bengals , rather than let the jets stash him on ir.
after all the nonsense I saw in Cortland, I'm surprised simms doesn't bolt for a team that will give him a fair , open competition at being a starter.

Apparently his 1 TD and 10 INT's since the Falcons game gives us the best chance to win.

If he gives us the best chance to win at this point, why are Simms and Garrard on the roster? I guess it's like McElroy and Tebow from last year. Rex really wanted no part of playing either until it was too late. So why were one or either taking up a roster spot?

I want Geno to succeed, but he's in a complete tailspin. He needs to take a step back. Maybe watch a week or two. Apparently Rex will just continue to wait to bench QB's until they are mentally ruined.

I'll continue to support him when he steps on the field even though I disagree with the decision, hopefully the weather isn't as bad as its been the last 2 weeks and he slings the ball downfield a few times. Time to see what this kids made of, he's getting destroyed in the media and by fans(myself included) so let's see if he can tune all of it out and put together a solid game.

I guess my age is showing

I cannot for the life of me figure out why benching someone who is playing historically poor such a bad thing?

I mean the kid is 22 or 23. Not the end of his career if he gets benched. He can recover. Damn Michael Jordan was cut in high school, I think he managed ok....

If he can't recover from a benching then he's not mentally strong enough to be a leader and he should be gone anyway!

Reminds me of a line from Casino when Deniro says either you were in on it, or you're too dumb to realize you we're getting scammed- either way you're out!

I have talked to a few friends in the league and Simms opened some eyes...I would not be shocked if he moves on after the season. There are a couple of teams that WILL definitely give him a fair shot to start. Besides, Phil is no fool, he'll be in Matt's ear non-stop once the season is over.

It's not you. He is the worst starting QB in the league right now statistically, yet they continue to parade him out there. It makes no sense.

The Jets are provong to be the only team in the league where the QB can be the drizzling shits over and over with nearly zero chance of being benched.

fine, not like simms is gonna do anything...

I think I'm the only one, but I'm more concerned about pass protection and receivers making catches than our QB.

Smith hit a rookie wall hard but really its up to everybody else to help him out and make him comfortable, benching him isn't gonna help our team at all, Simms isn't drew Brees after all.

this isn't the guys ceiling, i can tell that much right now. any amount of playing time will be valuable to him improving for next year.

I think the OL and receivers are playing down to the QB...constant 3&outs kills any hope of developing rhythm. It's just like anything else you need to get in a groove and for 7 weeks there has been no real flow from Geno.
