Forget Mark! I miss Kellen Clemmens. 10/22, 1TD, 0 INT. I'll take it.

I don't miss Sanchez at all. If he was screwing up right now, which is the most likely result given what we know about Sanchez and the Jets current talent base, it would be a soul-killing event for the franchise.

You can't keep making the same mistakes over and over again and get anywhere.

Good about this all is that we realized neither Sanchez or Geno is the answer. If Sanchez had start we now would be hopefull that Geno is the answer. At least now we are sure we need to move on the answer is not here and not its not Matt Simms

I don't miss Mark. Watching Geno throw picks doesn't make me want to see Sanchez back in just to do the same thing.

you miss a guy who never won a playoff game in a much weaker era for AFC football w/ more talent around him? ok.

It's not the picks, Geno doesn't look like he belongs on an NFL field. mark at hos worst never turned it over like this and never looked this lost.

Bradwaysux pointed this out in another thread. Mark actually had stretches like Geno is doing right now.

never had long stretched like this and never trust anything bradway posts.

last 6 games Geno has 1 TD, 10 INTs and 2 fumbles lost.

    Mark's worst 6 game stretches:

    2009:

    5 TDs, 8 INTs, 1 fumble lost

    2010:

    5 TDs, 7 INTs, 1 fumble lost

    2011:

    12 TDs, 8 INTs, 3 fumbles lost

    2012:

    3 TDs, 9 INTs, 4 fumbles lost

Only 2012 is close and he had Chaz Schilens starting w/ Tony Sparano running the show.

Look they both have been horseshit and need no comparison for who is better, both QB's would have this team where it is. In fact, I am surprised that we are 5-6 at this point with Geno Smith.

That was a bad game yesterday...Did anyone see the yardage Manning had going into the 4th quarter late? I think it was like 72 yards of passing.

Maybe this was just a really bad rookie game...But Geno has had it consecutive weeks

Geno is on an epic pace to be the worst rookie QB every drafted based on stats. He is looking beyond lost out there.

I've figured this wrong, please stay with Geno, that will ensure , we will have a top 5 pick, an maybe can draft a real QB, that can play outside of domes, an that has intangibles, an doesn't sulk in the green room at the draft, because he thought he was wrongfully passed by in the first round, FYI, he should've been passed in the 2nd as well

Which QB did we take recently that played in domes in college? We didn't take Ryan Nassib.

And were you at the green room when he was sulking or are those reports now rock solid concrete worth believing. Manish Mehta and his stories must be worth believing too.

    This whole situation sucks.

I dont even know whats best for this team in terms of reality. We need a franchise QB, bottom line. Even being one of Geno's biggest supporters on here, I cant help but think he's not the answer. Understandably it is still early in his career and the rest of the offense is complete garbage, but I criticized Sanchez last year under the same situations and its only fair to criticize Geno as well.

At this point I would like to see what Simms can do. If he takes control and makes something out of his opportunity, then great, we may have found a miracle. If he plays similarly to Geno, then we are left in a shitty situation, but maybe it forces the Jets to address QB next year in the draft.

If we draft a QB early, have an open competition and see what each one can do. May the best man win, and hopefully a franchise QB comes out of it.

Either way, it doesnt like bright at the position.

Yes -- no joke - worst statistical rookie QB of all time.

I don't understand how the coaching staff can sit back look the other 52 guys in the locker room, the fans, and Matt Simms and say Geno gives the team the best chance to win football games.

jets are acting like no one in this league benches a struggling QB..why is this so taboo to the Jets?

    175/317, 28.8 attempts/game, 55.2%, 2227 Yd, 7.0 Yards/Att, 8 TD, 18 INT, 8 Fumble, QBR 62.1

Mark Sanchez in his rookie year:

    196/364, 22.8 attempts/game, 53.8%, 2444 Yd, 6.71 Yd/Att, 12 TD, 20 INT, 8 Fumble, QBR 63.0

See for yourself. If you have to compare your QB with Mark Sanchez, you know you are fucked.

That was Sanchez for the season ... that is Geno through 11 games! He is on pace for over 30 interceptions and 11 TD passes.

Sanchez also had 7 interception free games -- geno has 2. Sanchez turned the ball over but it game in bunches. Smith is spreading them out every game - he has 7 multi interception games
