I want him to help this team out the last 7 games of the season. He has football value right now, largely because our WR corps has been so decimated. David Nelson, Greg Salad, and Josh Cribbs are not comparable in raw talent. After the season ends, it's a business decision. He will be released and the market will determine his price. After running it through my diagnostic algorithm, I put the chances of him returning at about 8%.
Its Tones last year,, Lets just hope he can stay healthy for 7 more games. ( Hopefully ) At least with him on the field it will take some pressure away from Hill who has also done nothing this year. The LET Tone and Mark ride off into the sunset like the ending of blazing saddles.
Kerley is more valuable to this team. It would be better if Holmes was injured and Kerley was healthy. Anyone, who doesn't see that is blind. 5 more weeks (+... unlikely post season visit) and this fragile, ineffective, sluggish, loser that currently wears #10 for the New York Jets will be gone
Its not even close who is more valuable to the team..totally agree. Listen, the guy doesnt even practice during the week because of a hammy..and it shows with his routes and timing with the qb. He isnt stupid..he can have back to back 200 yard games and the Jets will still hold a parade at the facility with red carpet treatment...hollywood stars...a light and fun roasting...several gifts and warm speeches..as he is lead to his limo that says on the back.."outta here..dont let the door hit you". I just cant wait to see the Jet roster next year just knowing he will not be on it. He is the milk carton for what is wrong with this sport...a disgrace to the NFL..and to his team.
http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/santonio-adds-jets-injury-woes-hamstring-setback-article-1.1533045 What a shocker. Holmes contract has to be one of the worst decisions in Jets recent history along with Tebow, and Nnamdi pursuit.
He has no sense of urgency to play, and I personally think he doesn't give 2 shits about it. He knows he will get cut so he's just gonna coast Do we really have to go over this yet AGAIN?
I'm about done with the Diva. I personally think he's saving himself for his next contract because he probably realizes it won't be the Jets paying for his services after this year. He never really was great with us. Flashes here and there but nothing to merit the contract Tannenbaum gave him. As far as I'm concerned, it really doesn't matter anymore if Holmes suits up or not as the results always depends on which Geno shows up, not which Holmes.
It's a big deal this year because the Jets have almost no talent at WR and Kerley has been hurt a lot also. If Holmes doesn't play and Kerley is out the Jets basically have nobody that other teams have to account for. That creates 5 and 6 man rushes on passing downs and the Jets don't have the pass protection to deal with that.
