You wont really get an argument from me there. I have been extremely disappointed with him so far, and he hasnt shown any improvement. His mental makeup in terms of the actual game is something that I am left questioning.

When we blitzed Joe Flacco, he threw it to his hot read and picked up a first down. Out of all the times Geno has been blitzed, I have not seen that. Its a fairly easy concept, but I havent seen it. Is it on the playcalling? WR/TE? QB? In this case Im leaning towards QB.

As I said before, this team really has a hole at almost every position on offense. We need 2 starting WRs, #1 TE, G, T, RB and most importantly a QB. Many thought this would be a full on rebuild that could take a couple of years. After a quality start, and now a few rough weeks, I think its starting to set in that it really is a rebuild.

I find this argument interesting. You rather the QB that's 2-2 in the playoffs in the 6 years as a starter for us versus one that is 4-2 in his first 4.

He has one of the better O-lines, but hold the ball way too long and drops back so far the defenders have an easy time sacking him.

People bashing him from the start was unfair, at least see what he can do but at this point it's pretty clear.

Sure he doesn't really have any weapons but even with them I don't believe he will be more then an average QB.

I think Geno had exactly .1 seconds to pass on every third down in the past 2 games

Ftr I can't conclude yet that Smith is a total bust. He might benefit from an off season program. He has some strengths, like a good arm and decent mobility.

Unfortunately he has a long list of weaknesses that seem to be getting worse the more he plays. Time to sit him. Actually it has been time.

This is not rocket science. He dropped to #39 overall. His O-line is terrible. His WR's are terrible. His TE's are terrible. The playcalling has been terrible and setting him up for failure, especially yesterday. I never wanted the Jets to draft Geno, but putting ANY blame on him right now is ridiculous. He should be on the bench.

The playcalling was clearly to try and take the ball out of Geno's hands, the CS clearly has no faith in Geno throwing the ball. Look at all the wildcat in the first half, he had 7 pass attempts in the first half.

Yeah, I know. You can't win that way though. He needs to be allowed to throw the ball on 1st and 2nd downs. QB's have to get into a rhythm. They kept saying: "Okay Geno, we are not going to allow you to pass for 20 minutes, but if a 3rd and 7 shows up and all the pressure is on the QB, we will let you try!" So stupid.

Maybe the jets do not know how to develop talent

They dont have any talent on the offensive side of the ball to develop.

What you guys are missing is that if you watched Geno down the stretch last year you see the same deficiencies that he is showing in the NFL. Yeah our receivers suck, but Geno does not pass the simple eye test. I still hope I'm wrong but I am afraid I simply am not.

Yes but do you blame them, I cringe everytime Geno drops back to throw, he just turns the ball over too much to trust him to throw 30+ times.
