Ya cause WR's drafted in the NFL, will light it up in there first year, so that would be extremely beneficial to Smith

its possible. players like julio jones, AJ green, keenan allen, justin blackmon, terrance newman, and a bunch of other players have been effective their rookie years. a sammy watkins, mike evans, marqise lee etc could have a similiar impact

I mean or we can go and pay a guy AKA Holmes again and get burned... which is the bigger risk ??

Terrence Williams but you are correct.

I think Watkins and Evans can help right away. I like them two the most.

  7. I'm not really sure I understand how this all gets pinned on Geno. That's not to say he doesn't need to vastly improve..but most rookie QBs hit this type of wall & fall back into bad habits.

This passing offense just stinks. The OL can't pass protect, receivers get no separation, & TE/RBs can't pick up the blitz.

I'm not really sure how you guys expect Geno to work through his decision making/progression issues when he can't even set his feet, & when he does..the receivers don't get open.

How can a rookie QB hell any QB develop any sort of chemistry with guys who can barely stay on the field for 2 games straight !?!

I do not think that word means what you think it means.

I think often about that noodle-arm bastard. In a good way. If he could have stayed healthy, he had the ability, the competitive drive and the institutional loyalty to keep the Jets competitive for decade or longer. In the end, that's what brings stability to a team more than anything else - a reliable guy touching the ball every offensive play.

Insert your own joke about "offensive plays."

The whole offense sucks. No talent. No confidence. No discipline. A lot of it falls on Geno, but he has no time to throw, his WR/TEs can't get separation, and when the ball miraculously gets to them, they drop it. We need a major overhaul.

Sadly, I think lack of discipline will be the key factor of why Ryan might get fired, though.

Look at his WR options, look at the OL play... we aren't helping him out for shit.

WOuld've I preferred a WR wit hhis pick? Yes. But I don't believe this is all his fault. Our O has NO talent except in the running game.

I LOVED Pennington. I am still convinced if he never hurt his shoulder we would have won a SB.

That's true. We haven't had a decent o-line in three years.
