Today when Geno has been given even half decent protection, he's thrown picks.

He needs to sit.

 

Jets just need a FF/INT returned for a TD, 2 point conversion, recover an onside and then a hail mary plus a 2 point conversion = OT, baby!

 

You have to begin putting the team before the player.

You have the 6th spot locked up and continue to let him make mistakes.
He clearly is not learning since he keeps making the same ones week in and week out.

He may be learning more on the bench for a game or 2.

 

Does it really matter?

That's the frustrating part. The team is being put second here.

 

The problem now is that the Playoff contention is in doubt, along with the Qb's development -- unless someone can make a case for Geno showing any progress.

Sounds like panning for Gold in the Hudson River.. You can try it, but it ain't gonna happen for ya.

 

And other than that one blown play, the D continues to shut them down.

 

The really amazing and unexplainable thing is how this team won 5 games.

 

Let Geno put the icing on the cake with another pick.

 

The biggest laugh would be if Simms came in right now.

 

1 TD, 10 INT since the Atlanta game. Again, something is very wrong here.

 

The problem is the entire team sucks. Our secondary stinks, the OLine has been mediocre, the QB play has been mediocre at best, the playcalling has been lousy, special teams minus Folk isn't much better.

I think people are just looking to spark something up for the sake of doing it but Simms isn't suddenly going to change everything and turn this team upside down and make them a force to be reckoned with.

 

So the pattern is broken. Now I don't know what will happen to the jets next week.

Or maybe we just need to accept this team has overachieved and isnt as good as we would like. Any success really only stunts our development. We will probably finish 8-8 or 7-9 and get a middle of the pack Draft pick. This may be better for us and besides next year we have some cap and can put together a better team.

 

With a 1min left, Rex should be fired if he sends Simms in to finish the game.
