We basically ruined Sanchez with shitty pass protection and no receivers. We are ruining Geno for the same reason. So the answer is to put in a guy with no experience and probably doesn't even belong in the league but got in because if his last name. OK.
I gotcha I just dont see Matt Simms helping nor do I think Geno has done enough here today to lose his job.
Exactly. The staff does not trust him. Nothing is going to change that, other than to try something else. This is not working. Perhaps someone can tell me what Geno has done to earn the right to remain in the game?
Lol we all are,Thats why alot of people are calling for Simms ,Wheter its the o lines fault or not we need a spark.Keep in mind its freezing cold out there my coffee froze this morning at the beach the wind chill is making feel like 9 degrees
Simms. After tones drop it looked great like his route was a post right to the sideline. Just keep jogging Holmes head right for the locker room you bum
Yeah I was just pointing out they tried one and it was blown up immediately. They gotta dig deep down, otherwise we are getting bad Geno second half where he tries to force a comeback single handedly
Listen....Simms might come in and stink the joint up...I will give anyone that...but this is getting to the point of unwatchable watching him in the pocket. All the turnovers have him scared...and he has lost any confidence. He looks short passes on every play. I dont blame him with the protection he has. But thats not the point. The Jets need a miracle right now..they need to see if the 25% chance another qb can do something might help. Simms will probably suck now but Geno is going nowhere..he hasnt in over a month and I see nothing to show he is about to explode now.
If they're really interested in winning, they need to consider playing Garrard. Yes, the OL blows but having a rookie/inexperienced QB out there doesn't help anything. As far as experience goes, Geno isn't learning this way. Not sure about anyone else but I'm pretty fucking tired of watching a pathetic offense every week.
Then we might just need new coaches because in the NFL today, you need your QB to throw, for better or for worse. Unfortunately Rex(I blame Rex more so than Marty since he's had 3 different OCs and this has happened) continues to try and play this silly 2-3 yard a rush game that doesn't fool anyone. Rex needs to let Marty call his game and the OLine needs to actually protect. Winslow/Bohanon need to strictly block and Ivory/Powell might even need to stay behind on blitzes and then get open on RB screens. Now we just need separation from our WR's.....good luck.
Not even true at all. MM runs a ridiculous trick offense when Geno is in that doesn't work for any QB. Then when Simms is in, they run a pro-style offense that works. Simms has an unfair advantage.
Offense is terrible you have guys dropping passes and the oline not giving decent protection. And on top of that Geno has been so bad recently that they've had to protect Geno from himself.
Why are people saying they don't believe in Geno? 2nd and goal and 3rd and goal they try throwing in the RZ. 2 minute warning down 6 where a problem can occur, they let him 3 straight times after a drop, penalty, and another drop. They definitely trust him to throw, nothing has been happening though
