Truth. One thing that gets overlooked a lot even when we mention it, is playing in New York. So many distractions, so much going on.

I read something that Rex said to get the team ready going into the Pitt game, AFC Championship. Something like, "this is the most important thing in your life, this game is the only thing that matters right not." '09 & '10 football was primarily the only thing on Sanchez's mind, but we all know he got hot quick. Unlike, Eli every chick in the city was trying to jump Sancho bone. Every sports reporter was trying to get Sancho story.

The Jets are and always will be a fun team to talk about.

Sanchez is not part of the future plans. His game is gone, and he is gone. No resurrection, no feel good story.

That money is going to be spent wisely on building a football team, a contender.

I kinda miss this fucker. I hope we sign him for a minimum and he battles it out next offseason. I'd love to see him run MM offense

He would of panned out if not for the Front Office. I guess chasing Nnamdi and acquiring Tebow were far more important. I don't care what anyone says, Mark studied hard and put forth effort, he wasn't the most talented player, but talent can only get you so far - you need to prepare Monday through Friday.

I do not think the Front Office was his problem..

    His decision making was horrendous..

Throwing into triple coverage at least 3 times a game..

Accuracy was shit... Overthrowing wide open receivers on the regular..

Looking like a space cadet 95% of the time...

Front Office does not have anything to do with that. I do admit though, that he did not have a good OC during he tenure here...

^^This. No matter what you think of him, he is a hard worker and definetly gives a top most effort. Where ever he ends up (Minnesota?) I hope he gets to enjoy some type of success.

I wish Mark all the best in his future endeavors.. Those future endeavors better not include being anywhere near the Meadowlands for any extended amount of time.

Whose fault is that? The Front fucking Office. You cannot make transactions in the off-season and not think of the QB. They fucked him over and is the leading reason why we are in the spot now. Now look what they are doing with Geno. The decisions you make account for everything.

Mark didn't do a good job later on, but it wasn't just his fault. Consider all of the factors.

OK but even with the Front Office not providing him with a decent OC, that does not change the fact that he is a space cadet that cannot read the field and read defenses.. He has no awareness and just throws the ball and hopes for the best.. The guy was too raw coming out of college and had limited experience.. He would have benefited being drafted in the 4th round and sitting for 2-3 years and probably would have been elite or damn close to it... He has all the physical gifts...

Lets also remember that NY is the hardest place in the world to play professional sports.. If you aren't a tough mutha, we will eat you up and spit you out in a heartbeat.. Guy was under constant pressure from the moment he was drafted to us...

If you took our same exact team with the same exact coaching staff/front office and put us in Minnesota/Kansas City/Tennessee/San Diego/ any other small market, Mark would have excelled... The pressure got to him here... Hopefully Geno doesn't suffer the same fate.

Playing in NY had nothing to do with it. He handled the NY Media just fine. He never threw anyone under the bus.

If a QB is raw coming out of college, then why do you not bring in a coach that can coach him up? And while you are at it, bring in a QB that can actually compete and let Mark learn while he is on the bench soaking up knowledge?

The FO was to blame. Imagine if Mark had David Lee and MM as coaches? We might have a 10 year starter right now. When a QB struggles, you don't put on a stupid color-wrist band to manage him. You coach him up.

At some point the QB has to take control of the huddle. Sanchez never did. He always needed someone else to lean on.

Next year, he will not be a member of the Jets.

    ...moving on.

I think Mark took control of the huddle in 2010 through the halfway mark of 2011. He had some reliable targets that really helped him out in Cotchery and Braylon.

There was a NFL sound-bite thing during the AFCCG against the Steelers, he brought that team up from the depths of hell (down 21-3) and came one drive from getting us to a SB.

Shitty coaches and an even shittier front office doomed the Jets. Now we are back to square 1.

That guy is gone now though, time to move on indeed.
