You know what? fuck this negativity. we're still the team that held down brady and Brees, and the ravens a re still a team in disarray themselves. We will win next sunday. It will happen people. Geno and the offense has been exposed, but honestly the loss just makes that overly apparent to the powers that be, and if their smart they'll get creative on the offensive side of the ball and make the tape irrelevant. we're 5-5 in 6th place not 1-9.
Don't think the Bawmer game will be a blowout. Buffalo was pretty much a perfect storm of suck for the Jets. Won't be as bad this Sunday. Not expecting a win, though.
Ray Lewis gets his first INT of the season against his former QB this week. Geno bounces back with a few TD's in the air. Jets win 17-20
31-13 Ravens. Geno will throw 2 picks and loose one. This should be the end of the playoff talk. We are a 6-10 team that overachieved early. This will show on Sunday. Geno was a bad pick, for a team that needed and needs many pieces.
The Ravens will not blow out the Jets. The Jets, even at 5-5, have a better record than the Ravens. And the Jets have beaten better teams than the Ravens have. The Ravens gutted their team to pay Joey +$20M/yr and now they are a shell of their former selves. With Tone Time shaking off the rust (he had some really good catches his first game back) our offense will finally have 'reliable hands' to throw to. And Ed Reed will be highly motivated beyond his 35 years. The Jets will get this done, and IF the Pats lay another egg against Peyton Manning in Denver then we will be one game out of first place in the AFCE.
I have a feeling ..... no I just have a feeling. JK Well if Geno and our joke of an offense don't show up it will be a long game. It would also be nice for the secondary to put some pressure on them.
If they produce a bunch of 3 and outs with a coupe of turnovers they are in trouble. Calling for 37 degrees and 25 mph winds. So a colder Buffalo. Yeah it's not gonna be pretty
It would only shock the negative nannies on this board. IMO I think we have a great shot at winning the game. Rex is coaching against Baltimore, his former team. This game the Jets will come out of the tunnel flying sky high. It will have the intensity of a playoff game. Rex is a guy that has a talent-deficient team and he has coached his butt off to get that team with rookies at QB, FB, LG and DE & CB to be playing a relevant game late into NOV and all we hear are the DOOM and GLOOM Brigade rearing their ugly heads and flapping their yaps. This game should be fun and on any given Sunday......I do not bet against a REX RYAN team regardless of who we are playing...case closed....
you cant expect ed reed to come in and immediately take control of the locker room, but you bet your ass he has asserted himself by now and is demanding everyone play their asses off against the ravens. i have hope this team can get back to looking like the team that beat the saints, but geno needs to really start picking it up. he is a big reason the team is in the position they are and i dont mean the good parts. he looks pretty lost out there at times and throws some mind blowing ints that make the games almost unwatchable. so if geno can not be absolutely terrible then, the jets have a shot in every game left in the season.
How many times have we been through this? We win, and everyone claims we're Super Bowl contenders with an overabundance of talent. We lose, and everyone claims we are the worst team in the NFL with no chance to win another game because all of our players and coaches suck. We win, and everyone is so surprised that we won and talking championship again because our coaches have done such a masterful job with our young, talented core. And repeat... This is life with an injury depleted, young team with a rookie QB. I have no clue what to expect this Sunday, but I can tell you that the team will compete and put forth an honest effort. Rex will insure that. We can win this game.
You think we'll win every game, you said the same thing with the Bengals game. Great mindset, but take off the green glasses please. Should be interesting game though, we need to play physical. Brick needs to have his best game of the season for us to win.
Since the Jets now have the NFL record for consecutive wins followed by losses, it is understandable that people focus on that. But imo the more germane pattern has been that for some reason the Jets are awful on the road this season. Well, maybe the loss to NE was not an awful showing, of course. But the only road win came against an overrated Atlanta team that is now 2-8, and was self destructing big time. Given that the Ravens game is on the road, which pattern will prevail? Another factor here is the counter to the Parcells observation that you are what your record says you are. The counter is that in terms of predictive value, what do you make of a team that currently is 31st in the league in overall points differential? Some people opine that the Jets are a team that is built to win close games and cannot come back from big scoring deficits, and in fact when they try to come back from such deficits, Smith is at his worst and the deficit just gets even bigger. (After all, the final score of the Buffalo game would almost certainly have been worse if Smith had not been taken out.) So, maybe the points differential stat doesn't really say the Jets cannot win a close game against the Ravens. But I fear that stat does tell us something that cancels out the "we're still 5-5!" argument.
Yes. We have a knack of making decent/not good teams look great. (Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Tennessee). So glad I'm not going down to Baltimore anymore this weekend. I don't have to scrounge around for tickets last minute and spend good money to watch our anemic offense be a laughing stock.
So you guys think the pattern ends on Sunday? If that's the case goodbye playoffs. Sent from my LG-LS720 using Tapatalk
