And that goes back to the point I've been making since the draft, Smith CAN be a good player, but he isn't ready. This is on for Idzik forcing the issue. We finally get a decent OC, and Idzik forces a move to a rookie. Remind me again, wasn't he part of the FO, that gave Matt Flynn 26 mil?
I'm just saying he deserves some time to develop chemistry with his receivers and acclimate himself to what it takes to be an NFL QB. He's shows he can play well. (See: home against Buff. and MNF Vs. Atlanta) There's no reason to give up on him because he's had a few bad weeks. The Bills lead the league in sacks and interceptions, right now. He played his worst game against the best defense he's seen, it makes sense. Let's see how he bounces back next week before we declare him Brandon Weeden.
He has completed 16 passes in two games. High School QB's complete more than 16 passes in two games. Simms completed 4 of 6. Time for Geno to sit.
He is a great college qb. Just don't see his skill set in the NFL. Hell be a less successful white Vick Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
What does "white" have to do with anything? He could be another Russell Wilson. None of us know anything for sure. _
If he was showing growth i would agree with you but he is going backwards. He needs to site and observe because he looks broken. Since the Atlanta game his under 52% complete with 1 TD and 9 Turnovers. He has completed 16 passes the last two weeks combined - and the 8 against NO traveled 7 yards in the air. If I am right he didn't complete back to back passes today. Matt Simms did. His QBR hasn't hit 39 and his other weeks are 6.5, 4.1, 14.8, and .7 The guy has lost his confidence, hi mojo, his feel, whatever you want to call IT - he doesn't have IT anymore.
Ash but they do. Couch was was hailed as a great prospect came in and took a lot of hits. Injuries piled up and he could never really be what he was billed. Johnny football takes some shots in college. How long do you think he will last? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
Today was the 1st time I have seen Geno with bad body language. He looked defeated. In the past when he has made mistakes he has shown resiliency and came right back the next drive. Today he looked a lot like Sanchez. In his defense he was getting pounded again. Give him time and he can complete passes like the 2nd big pass to Holmes. But its rare he ever gets that time and almost every time he throws the ball he takes a hit. Want to make Geno a better QB give him actual time to throw the ball. A big part of the fault lies here with the OL but another big part is with MM. He has not found a way to protect the QB all year. He has not found a way to pick up blitzes and he runs many routes with no checkdown options leaving the QB isolated. I did notice that Geno tried to throw more balls today inside the hashmarks. Something he has not done much of this year. He did not have much success. Which leads me to believe that he struggles more between the hashmarks than outside or going deep because it requires him to read and understand defenses more. If this is the case it is something that we will likely not seen improvements on until next year. He throws a beautiful ball as accurate as any QB you can imagine but the mental side is what will make or break him. What really worries me about today is the possibility of the kid giving up and all the hits, the criticism and picks getting into his head. He looked down and he did not bounce back up like he usually does. To play QB in NY you need a short memory. I care less about the TOs and much more about how he responds to adversity. The fumble was not his fault the 2nd pick may have been on Cumberland but after that it was all on Geno as it looked like he lost his focus and had given up. Hopefully next week he can bounce back. Hopefully our OL can play better another horrid game. We need to find a way to get the kid some time to throw and get comfortable again. Today was just brutal.
He was bad inside and outside the hashmarks. He couldn't even complete a screen pass today -- you do that you use the aggressiveness of the defense against them, but Geno can't even do that - He looks lost in some many facets of the game it's scary. If Rex can't see that it worries me. He benched Miliner twice this season -- he sees defensive deficiencies but on offensive he seems unable to scared to make those tough calls until the walls fall off and it is too late for anything to make a difference..
You're right, Manziel is going to suck. Probably shouldn't be drafted at all. What do real GMs know anyway. _
The guy has yet to hit a RB in stride. Every time they throw to the flat the RB is twisting kr reaching well over his head, to snatch the ball.... He needed time to grow, and now they are ruining him. HE'll probably recover in the offseason. But he's a full year away from next year in being ready.
Now you are just being greedy. That 6TD performance Favre had against Phoenix was pretty sweet. I think Coles caught three of them.
I don't here a lot of buzz about him being drafted high at all, so I'm guessing they feel the same. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
A lot of shows this weekend were talking about it. Saying he has shown a lot of growth since last year, has improved his motion, doesn't look to run first, has become more consistent, but no one had him about late first round at best. Lot of big NFL caliber QBs coming out next year.
