I wouldnt say no QB. A few of those sacks were due to Geno not reading the defense and getting it out to his hot read. A few of the elite QBs would of audibled and made something out of nothing. With that said though, the Bills came to play. The Jets literally got no pressure on EJ the entire day. The DL was stout against the run but couldnt beat their man to get any pressure. Just a garbage performance from top to bottom.

It's very clear that Geno must play good next week in order to keep his job.

Yes I know he's a rookie but it's surprising that question was already asked to Rex.

Simms is the obvious answer but Sheldon Richardson looked pretty good on offense. I think he would be pretty hard for defenders to bring down.

I would actually feel more confident with Richardson back there (sadly)

Not a bad strategy, the team and Geno has bounced back 4 times after losses already, would be silly not to test that out again.

And it's never been just Geno submarining the team, the team as a whole as come out flat in those games too. Geno has clearly not helped in the losses, but only the NE really did other parts of the team come to play

You still have to shit on Sanchez. Pretty sure it's in the TOS.

References to Suckchez, buttfumble and Canadian Football League are required.

Multiple posts in a row get you extra credit.

The Ravens secondary is vulnerable so if the Jets open it up and PROTECT THE QB, Geno CAN attack them deep. I don't think they play that game next week though and we might have a similar type of attack style like how we saw Sanchez vs the Ravens in 2010(Week 1) and 2011(SNF).

Hope I am wrong though. You need to gun sling it against the Ravens to beat them. They can stop the run.

If Ngata misses next week(Doubt it), that would be amazing but again I doubt it.

Im not even getting this good Geno bad Geno crap.

What good Geno? The Geno that doesnt have to win the game and hands the ball off? The bad Geno that is asked to help out just a tiny bit with the play clock and make an occasional play up field?

What is this good Geno? I think we mean either the manage the game Geno or the Bad Geno.

Its so easy to watch any qb on any given Sunday complete a few nice passes. Watched the kid for the Raiders today...there were several guys today that have probably no real future in the NFL that made some special plays.

So Geno makes some plays every other week and thats what we have to hang our hat on?

I see nothing special about him..nothing. I see a very very inaccurate qb..the only thing you cant teach.

Yeah the ATL game was real manger, so was the 11 point deficit against NE right? And the 300 yard game against Buffalo tied in the 4th Q?

That's a short sighted view on what Geno has provided to the team in the wins. The two game manager wins were probably TB (his first game every he and the TB defense and Folk bailed us out) and the Saints game as a maybe.

8/19 for 115 yards in 2013 in the NFL is a "maybe" as a game manager win? Stick to your psychotic wrist slashing posts in the Knicks thread.

What the hell are you talking about? Has nothing to do with me being a "Geno Homer". I call like it is.

Do you even read my posts or you just see my avatar and see I "stand up" for Geno and think I am connected to him?

That is shortsighted thinking bud. They came back against the pats because Brady let them come back with a pick 6.

And its the major problem and people look to see if the qb has the goods. They point to several games where the completed some passes. They stay away from perhaps 2 or 3 of the most dreadful games a qb has played all year.

I dont truly care about the several good games...or the 4 or 5 horrible games. I go by what kinds of plays a qb makes. What kind of positive plays he makes.

What types of throws they make into coverage. The ability to see at least 2 or 3 options in a route...if a qb holds the ball way too long. How he manages a clock when they are up late in a game and he snaps the ball with less than 3 seconds to go.

I truly could care less about all the INTS...because some great qbs had some awful first year.

I just do not see a rookie qb...who makes a lot mistakes...but makes a lot of great plays too. Sorry...I just truly do not see anything that impresses me anymore.

Geno is terrible, stats do not lie, they didn't lie with Sanchez and they don't with Geno. The bar is set so low for this guy if he can manage less than 3 turnovers people seem pleased. He does nothing well, he is awful even by rookie standards.

Well the Jets didn't really do a good job asking for a game manger. They put the ball in his hands in non game manager situations, it was weird. They were fine running it, but then they got into scoring range and tried to pass more. It worked at times (Geno's pass to Sudfield) and didn't at times (Geno's pass into double and/or triple coverage to Nelson). And then again on 3rd down, they decided to let Geno throw instead of burning a NO timeout or waste the 2 minute warning. IT was an odd display of game managing if that's what it was.

Why don't you join the Knicks thread if you are reading it? You reminded me, I need to post the new Isola article there. Shump had a knee surgery the Knicks never disclosed and are trying to trade him, doesn't come off as good. And the Knicks are trying to trade Felton, Amare, and Shump for Rondo. Imagine if that happens, the Knicks fleecing a team in a trade

hate that line... they lie all the time.

but still, geno played awful today.

he's done well at times and hit a wall in others, he's got a future opportunity earned but not a starting spot guaranteed.

I'm not convinced this is as good as it gets with him, not at all.

we;re afraid to give any QB time because of how sanchez and the 2012 rookie class panned out, but people smarter than us should know how much to give him.
