The throw was made before the break, can't know if it's under thrown if Cumberland is supposed to break in more or earlier.
That play was over no matter what, there was a defender in robber zone so he has to look off that defender instead of staring at Cumby.
As a Jet fan and a Geno fan you have to hate Sanchez. You are required to shit on him. Post after post after post. Didn't you get the memo? _
Our 5 highest cap numbers on this season are LB, C, WR, CB, and LT. Everyone else has a below 5 million cap hit Right now we won't know what type of QB we need until we hit FA and the draft. Rgiht now the team can win games when everyone plays well, but if one thing struggles, everyone struggles.
The only blitz he screwed up on was the Byrd one(That was disguised btw). He panicked his pick 6 on one of the other blitzes and tried to get it to an RB screen but rushed the throw as he had happy feet today(Admittedly). And likewise, how does that all fall on Geno? He has a QB coach.....he has an OC coach. It is why I don't hold all of them accountable solely on that. The OLine/Bohanon/Ivory or Powell need to be able to pass protect and it flat out did not happen. We could barely even use our backs in the open field because the protection could not hold up so we didn't even have that going for us in the short area.
What's your rationalization for Glennon's other good games? He was 17-23 with 2 TD's and 0 INT's at freaking Seattle for crying out loud Geno's rookie year: 58.1 completion percentage, 11 TD's (3 rushing), 14 turnovers Sanchez's rookie year: 53.8 completion, 15 TD's (3 rushing), 20 INT's Glennon: 59.6, 9 TD's, 5 INT's How is that not appreciably better?
Honestly today is not the day to defend Geno, im not saying he cant get better or he won't be a franchise QB but he should have been benched by halftime.
Mike James ate the Seahawks defense up, really opened it up for the Bucs to work on offense. The Hawks defense has been mediocre lately, Kellen Clemens, Zac Stacy and our dear old friend Schotty were able to move at them at some points in their MNF contest a few weeks back. Glennon hasn't been awful but he hasn't been amazing either is what I am getting at. Glennon on the Jets would have been a disaster, he can't do anything with games like what our O-Line presented today. Would have more games like he did vs the Dolphins on MNF.
Geno had 23 attempts today. He wasn't even in the area on most of his throws. Assuming a defender was in the area of our WR out of 23 attempts he only completed 11. 3 to the Bills and 8 to the Jets. If you can't complete 50% of your passes between players on both teams you have to start questioning his accuracy.
Oh I am not defending him, I admitted a few pages back this was his worst game of his pro career and I would not be upset if Simms got the start next week. Despite all of the havoc created by the Bills pass rush, Geno still can't make the mistakes he did. I am just getting at that no QB could succeed today with what they got faced today. Buffalo kicked our asses in the trenches, point blank.
Lotta throw aways on the sidelines to get away from the pass rush. Didn't have any easy passes like with what Hackett provided for Manuel. He called a good game in fact for the Bills given the losses of Johnson and Woods honestly. It is the same thing Sanchez had in 2011, Schotty did not have any easy plays to open up WRs to get open or the WRs had an inability to get themselves open(Stephen Hill itis this year). Kerley is being missed big time as he was the best guy to get open in the short/intermediate field. Holmes has done a better job than Hill in the deep route and he isn't even 100 percent sadly. Hoping maybe Salas can get more looks even though he's no Kerley.
Did anyone see Idzik moving Rex's mouth in the background? Geno against the Ravens next week is going to be a total fiasco. Much like Sanchez against the Ravens was.
