Im not jumping on the Simms bandwagon but I havent seen anything that makes me believe Geno is the answer either.
game over -- Jets lose Those of us who predicted a win look llike shmucks (including yours truly) surmmary negatives all three elements stunk - offense, defense and ST worst offenders-the vaunted defensive line pass rush which allowed Manuel to sit in the pocket and order a three course dinner just about the entire afternoon no running game and plenty of huge mistakes by everybody Geno trying to do to much ended up reverting back to doing way too little positives 5-5 after 10 games and still in the thick of the wildcard race despite the loss good chance to rebound against the Flaccos next week, as I'm assuming there will be no Dave and Busters breaks this week in practice before that one. We all know that beating the Ravens is probably the one regular season thing that Rex, Thurman and the rest of the coaching staff want to do most of all WITH THAT I'll do what I usually do and turn this place over to the FIRE EVERYBODY, SELL THE TEAM, SKY IS FALLING, START SIMMS,JUMP OFF A BRIDGE crowd that takes a thing like losing a football game WAY TOO SERIOUSLY and let them have their way until about midweek (for excellent examples examine the many pages of wild eyed crazed raving and ranting already started here since 1PM today on the game thread) I recommend that the sane crowd NOT try to get in the way of their screaming, whining, cursing and exploding until at least then See you Wednesday or so
I'm running off the bandwagon now. Geno's Mark Sanchez II. Why can't we ever get competent QB'ing from rookies like Manuel, Glennon, etc?
I'm starting to lose faith in Geno. I understand that he's a rookie and he'll make mistakes but I'm not seeing much progress, in fact I think he's been regressing. I'm still rooting for him but I need to start seeing something.
SIMMs needs to start next week, Smith get worse every week, this team is going nowhere, smith is horrible
Geno is a journeyman backup, that's what his NFL career will consist of, depending on how long the jets waste there time on him.
This is how i feel. Now I think he could get it together, he may not be a total bust, but im just not seeing a QB whos getting better. I see him making the same mistakes over and over again. Ive said this all year.
Summary for the next three days: Geno has to be shot Rex must be fired Idzik is a failure Woody is the worst owner About sums it up? See you Wednesday
I don't want to overreact, but I'm starting to lose faith in Geno, too. Simms needs to show me more than garbage-time TDs against Prevent Defense.
is it cool to start flaming geno again now? he is another turnover machine - not a fan and hoping we bring in a viable alternative in the offseason
Horrible, horrible game for Geno. I get that he is a rookie but this is not acceptable. I'm 100% ok with drafting a QB next year.
I think any rational fan is at this point. Im not expecting andrew luck here, but im seeing sanchez with a bigger arm. Im pretty sure sanchez was actually better his first year. I think if we take away som of the 4th QB comebacks, Geno has not played well at all this year for the most part.
23 turn-overs and if not pulled from two game he might be at 26 by now after only ten games. Far worse than Sanchez ever was even in his rookie year. Not to say Sanchez is/was the answer, but Smith is not. Would rather see Sims in there after he is able to get some practice reps. Smith gets 95% of the reps, with two week to prepare and this is what we get. I won't even dwell on how good Glennon is doing with far less reps this year and a less of a team...
