Why would you give up at this point? The game isn't over yet. They wasted so much time on that drive.
game over -- Jets lose Those of us who predicted a win look llike shmucks (including yours truly) surmmary negatives all three elements stunk - offense, defense and ST worst offenders-the vaunted defensive line pass rush which allowed Manuel to sit in the pocket and order a three course dinner just about the entire afternoon no running game and plenty of huge mistakes by everybody Geno trying to do to much ended up reverting back to doing way too little positives 5-5 after 10 games and still in the thick of the wildcard race despite the loss good chance to rebound against the Flaccos next week, as I'm assuming there will be no Dave and Busters breaks this week in practice before that one. We all know that beating the Ravens is probably the one regular season thing that Rex, Thurman and the rest of the coaching staff want to do most of all WITH THAT I'll do what I usually do and turn this place over to the FIRE EVERYBODY, SELL THE TEAM, SKY IS FALLING, START SIMMS,JUMP OFF A BRIDGE crowd that takes a thing like losing a football game WAY TOO SERIOUSLY and let them have their way until about midweek I recommend that the sane crowd NOT try to get in the way of their screaming, whining, cursing and exploding until at least then See you Wednesday or so
I don't understand. Why wait so long to put Simms in based on Geno's play. THEN why not try an onside kick? It almost appears as if the Jets have given up.
Classic Jets. Get crushed in a really meaningful game against an inferrior opponent. No signature needed
I am one of the Geno fans on here but I can totally understand if Simms starts next week. I don't wanna go too nuts over Simms drive down 27 vs a Bills defense showing nothing but he has been alright the opportunities he has been given. That being said, Simms will be in huge trouble if the Jets OLine of today shows up. Nothing could be done behind that awful line, Smith just compounded the problem.
The Jets under Rex Ryan will now be 1-4 in games played immediately after the bye week. On the whole I like Rex, but there's something wrong with his coaching style when his teams routinely blow it after big wins or bye weeks (or both, in this case).
I think if it were up to Rex Geno would be benched...but I think Idzik's going to forcefeed us Geno for the rest of the season.
