I'm sure you'll be able to. You could make a custom one today, but I'm sure JetsShop will have them posting online tonight or tomorrow.
Yeah, I've noticed a lot of my friends that I discuss football with don't know the name, or only do because I told them to pay attention to him. ESPN/NFLN usually only talks about Geno Smith when they discuss the Jets on TV. However, I've noticed that his name is being mentioned more and more every week. Next time we have a primetime game and he goes off, more and more people will see what he can do. If he keeps playing at this level, he has the potential to be nearly as big as Revis was here in NY (you barely hear Revis' name at all anymore, now that I think of it)
I think this is a great signing. He studies hard and prepares himself to know where the ball is going before the WRs do. Having him in the backfield during 3rd and long should pay huge dividends as he not only will be be at the ball, he will be telling the rest of the secondary what is happening. I know we have DDavis taking a leadership role on the defense, but I also think having a loud veteran voice goes a long way. One of the problems I see in this D squad is that we always start flat and give up first drives for scores, something the BAL D was always very good at stopping. They prided themselves on playing 4 full quaters of football. Yes, a lot of that I attribute to Ray Lewis, but I'm hoping that Reed will bring some of that mentality to go full bore first whistle to last whistle. As others have mentioned, this is nothing but upside. The only real loss will be whomever gets put on the practice squad/released because of the signing. What I would give to be in the room when Rex and Ed see each other for the first time after the ink dries. I would love to be a fly on the wall for that. How long before they go from the "I love you man!" hugfest to "OK how do we smoke the Bills?" I'm guessing 25 seconds.
It makes sense for Reed to come here considering our front 4 has been producing tremendous pressure, that allows us to put more guys in the backfield which will make it easier on Reed. On the flipside if Reed performs either he will get some picks or the D line will get more sacks because the QB will be holding onto the ball longer.
I would hope that Reed split time with Landry as I would not want snaps taken from Double A. Up until the Saints game Landry had been pretty awful. Not sure what he, Milliner and Cro had for breakfast the Sunday prior to the Saints game but they need to have it every morning from now on.
