Our D is better this year, it's not even close or debatable.

    Front 7? Absolutely.

Our secondary? Nah. It has more upside though but nah.

Overall it is MUCH better, our secondary isn't as good but overall it's still not close.

Current Jets D is 8th in total D. First against the run and twenty something against the pass. Rex's first year, the team was first in total D. You can compare the two but saying the current D is significantly better than the first years D is not true.

I am sorry my bad. I agree with you. The two aren't even comparable. This years D is much better.

This years defense would be better If it was consistant im sure you would agree. The main issue with this team as a whole is consistency, one week we look like a playoff team and the next we look like the Jaguars. I personally think we can attribute that to the overall youth on both sides of the ball at important positions(QB, WR, DL, CB ). Its tough to be a consistent team when your key players are so young and inexperienced, your thoughts?

With 7 new faces (including rookies) on Defense that had never played a snap in a Rex Ryan defense (except landry) it seems reasonable that it would take several games, even a few months worth of games before the left hand always knows what the right hand is doing. Zero communication breakdowns, every snap, of every game.

Our Defense, especially the back end, seems to be figuring this thing out as a team/unit and getting somewhat better every (other) week. 3-and-outs, sacks, ints, and tackle for a loss all seem to be more common.

Even Kyle 'no neck' Wilson has been playing better, Milliner had his first good game, and Double-A is looking like a true FS. And let's see if the bye week helps Cro's hip heal up some.

The team has been inconsistent but that is mostly due to the offense and rookie QB which was to be expected.

Excellent video. With Holmes back, I hope it loosens the coverage on Hill. Too bad Kerley is out for who knows how long.

Elsewhere Geno is a leading offensive ROY of the candidate. Here a few very vocal people have turned the conversation into whether or not he should be benched.

I think Eddie Lacy should be in the lead for that one, but theres not a lot of stand out rookie performances in the offensive side of the ball this year, so he might just win this by default and extra credit for being a QB on a (hopefully) winning team.

hes gonna have to play clutch a couple more times for me to say he outright deserves it.

Geno needs to lead this team today. If he has no turnovers then thats all I ask of him

gonna be a poor day for passing weather wise, not expecting much from him today.

weaker run d and inclement weather means its ivory's time to save the day again.

Bar none his worst game thus far as a pro. The OLine had a pathetic day and the hits Geno took in the 1st half led up to him playing absolutely scared and making pure panic throws that included forces and quick throws off blitzes.

I can't defend anything Geno did today. The OLine may have been pathetic but it does not excuse some of the decisions he made today. I don't think many QBs can make anything work with the protection today honestly speaking. Not Sanchez, not Geno, not anyone.

It just furthers the point that the Jets can't fall behind a whole lot on the scoreboard. The Jets secondary is still a crock full of shit, the Jets OLine has lost a believer in me(Though it is one game, I am nervous moving forward) and the coaching was inconsistent at best.
