There seems to be some spin by Martin's lawyers too esp after Richie's interview with Jay Glazer. They replied to Richie's claim that Martin text messaged him with a comment about killing his family which Richie admitted was just a joke but the way they spoke to each other. The Martin lawyers responded by sending a pic text with the caption about kiliing your family I guess to them showing that it was a standard text that he sent. Also Howie Long said he read through all of the text messages between Martin and Incognito and they were unflattering for both guys. In other words Martin was a part of this exchange and the culture. Later Martin's lawyers again put out an excuse saying that Martin was just trying to fit in so they would leave him alone. I think the Dolphins should not bring back either of these guys. And Martin reportedly does not want to return to Miami he wants a fresh start. Same goes for Richie except who would want a guy like this on their team. But again the owner doesn't need a blue ribbon panel. He has to just tell the players the locker room antics, the $30,000 dinners, taking a guys credit card and using it in Vegas, and all the hazing has got to stop now and is the rule in the organization. If you want to play for the Dolphins you have to comply. And if you don't like it than leave.

Then at least he could say he tried. There's other coaches as well plus locker room leaders. Unless you're suggesting that they were all in on it, somebody would respond.

Did Ireland tell Martin to punch Incognito or did Ireland just go and punch Incognito himself?

This is the Dolphins we are talking about here.

No thanks. I don't want the meathead psycho or the pussy wimp, and I certainly don't want to bring the circus to town. Plus, it's not like the Dolphins line was any good before this thing blew up. They were threatening the all time record for sacks given up!

Wow... just wow. Either the thread starter is a serious troll or has no concept of how to differentiate between a good decision and a terrible one. If Idzick ever brought in either for a look, it's time for him to get fired because if we need them in any way it means our depth chart looks like the wet crap I took this morning.

Because he's classier than anyone that their organization has ever had. :finssuck:ricky williams

Plus, IIRC he's friends with Ireland? Or Ross.. One of them.

In the real world, I wouldn't take either. Too much baggage in both cases. If we're choosing just for shits and giggles, I'd go with Incognito, simply because he's shown he can survive in the rough and tumble world of the NFL.

I'm the thread starter. I wanted this conversation in the main TGG forum so I had to tie it to the Jets, albeit weakly, or the mods would have kicked it to the BS forum in under 5 seconds. See the 'Ed Reed' thread....if you can find it.

I wouldn't take Eithor one... but with that said it is complete absurd what is happening to incognito. Martin kid is clearly insane and using this guy as his excuse to quit football and still get paid.

I'm not an incognito fan and like most people think of him as an absolute dirtbag(from what is reported about him) in this situation I truly feel bad for him. This kid may lose his career based on manipulation and bullshit.

The dolphins are a disgraceful organization for jumping to conclusion. I'm excited for the day that incognito sues them.

The more info that comes out, there more it's obvious martin a nut job. The dolphins organization won't change there position. Its a joke.. this martin kid ended his career and may have ended incognito.. its so disgusting to witness. I love how this kid hides behind attorneys, and as more info comes out about what actually happened, the media just keeps ignoring facts and railroading this guy. Truly impressive. Fuck the dolphins.. they deserve all the backlash that comes from this.
