2012 was an aberration w the worst offensive talent in the league led by Tony Sparano. we'd have seen a much better Mark and we'd have more wins. Much better OC, much better talent until a week or 2 ago. Like Alex Smith in the 2011 div rd vs. NO? "game managers" are undervalued, you are never winning anything w/ no game managers like Philip Rivers, Matt Schaub, Tony Romo, etc... Again, long term this may be very different but the discussion is about this year and clearly we'd be better this year w/ Alex. what 3-4 games did he win? TB? Nope, the game was close b/c of the QB Buf? anyone could have torn that beat up secondary apart and TOs allowed Buf to eventually tie a game we should have won by 2 TDs Atl? yes. NE? he threw another pick 6 and on the winning drive we took the ball out of his hands. NO? the best thing he did was not turn it over.
if that's what the ratings say then they must be right! Did you know Tony Romo has the same career rating as Tom Brady? Tony also has a higher career rating than: Brees Warner Ben Montana Marino Kelly Staubach Aikman Elway etc... I guess Tony must be better!
What does this have to do with the undeniable and indisputable FACT that Mark Sanchez SUCKS Sent from my BNTV400 using Tapatalk
And 2009 and 2010 and 2011? Maybe you misquoted, this response doesn't really address anything I wrote.
We'd be at least 7-2. No way we would have lost the first Pats game and the Steelers game with a veteran QB that displays very good ball security. I'd argue that the Titans game was winnable as well. Maybe we lose the Falcons game without Geno's playmaking ability. But I would say 7-2, and I could see the argument for 8-1.
We should get a good read on KC defense and Alex Smith and the Denver offense this weekend. If the KC defense can hold the Denver offense to under 21 points, they absolutely give Alex Smith and their offense a chance to win the game. If the game turns into a shootout, well we will see what Alex Smith and that KC offense has firepower wise. As I mentioned earlier, I think KC only trailed once in the 4th quarter in their 9 wins. Right now, he's on a great team that compliments his style perfectly. I think his style fits us good too, but we aren't as strong as the Chiefs, don't have anyone healthy comparable to what Charles brings to the team, and we haven't played an easy schedule like them.
as long as it wasn't the 2012 version we'd have a guy we could win w/. The only bad year he had was last year and that had more to do w/ those around him.
Don't forget the scramble ability. Alex Smith as 5 career rushing TDs in the regular season, Geno has 3. Smith has played around 7 years, Geno, 1. The most points that KC defense has given up is 17. They've also played 0 teams with a winning record. They've also scored 49 points on defense/ST. If all of KC played like they did against our schedule, I could see maybe 7-2. If just Alex Smith comes over, I still think 5-4 and 6-3 is much more realistic.
Yeah we always had a guy we could win with, that's a credit to Rex. What we never knew is what Sanchez we got each game. Kind of like Geno this year. It's frustrating. I mean Sanchez could put together fantastic games and quarters and drives, and he could also look like he never played football before.
His inconsistency was frustrating but he was more consistent than Geno has been so far. I hope that changes
Next year? probably not barring injuries to starters. He is coming off a major injury and is damaged goods based on his last season of play but he'll get a chance to start again at some point. I hope it is w/ an NFC team so I can root for him.
Unfortunately Brady has many years left but as much as I like mark I'd make that trade in a heartbeat.
