If that's what Dolan fires him for it just confirms Dolan's terrible meddling in basketball.

It should be the inability to create an identity, mismanaging the players given, the defensive strategy that no longer works, and not changing the defensive strategy.

Granted I don't want Woodson fired now, if these problems still exist around Christmas time, then the Knicks should see what bridges Dolan hasn't burned to find a coach

This is hilarious. The big off season debate was about who would win the division - Knicks or Nets. Now they are both sitting pretty as the 2 worst teams in the conference.

Whoa posted at the same time.

It would be hilarious if it's like this in January. Right now? The basketball season is very young. This is the equivalent of one game into the NFL season right now.

Agreed, I don't take the winning or losing too serious at this point in time, 6 games in a 82 season tells me nothing about the team yet. Miami just lost to Boston for crying out loud.

The way they play the game has been frustrating in the losses though. Got away from a style of play that was beneficial to them last year and the lineups that helped create it.

Yeah, no doubt it's way too early to tell. It's just comical how both teams have been choking. I expect them to get back into the rankings. It's just going to take time to gel. And hopefully learn how to fast break, move the ball, and fight over screens. And also stop forcing difficult shots. I see Felton or Melo kick it to a guy on the perimeter and instead of taking the in rhythm jumper they either hesitate or fake it and go for the harder two. No need to make the shots harder, it almost makes me miss the D'antoni offense. They got a lot of improving to do.

My starting 5 would be Felton/Shump/JR Smith/Melo/Martin for now with Bargs/Metta/THJ/Stoudi/Prij getting minutes off the bench, just my opinion.

I would go with Felton, Prigs, Shump, Melo, Cole Aldrich just because KMART is on a minutes limit and game limit.

Bench of Beno, Smith, Metta, Bargs, Amare (sometimes), and KMART. THJ should get filler minutes if Smith, Shump, Metta get into early foul trouble.

That's a 11 man lineup if Kmart and Amare both play which Woodson doesn't want to, 10 man lineup without it.

You're going to have to change that lineup. ESPN is reporting that the Knicks traded Shumpert for Kenneth Faried.

I think it is just being reported that they are discussing the trade.

Yeah I'm hearing about the trade just now. What do you guys think of it?

I don't think it really fixes anything for the Knicks. If we trading to replace Chandler going down, either chandler's injury is worse than reported or Dolan is panicking because we are 2-4 and Chandler is out for a month.

Faried is an undersized player who rebounds well and doesn't play great defense. Ehh, I would rather not trade Shump for that. I don't want to trade Shump, and I like Faried, I just don't see Faried being a fit on this team especially when Chandler comes back.

Denver has made it clear to Kenneth Faried's reps: There are no active talks involving him. Knicks offered Shumpert. Denver rejected idea.

So this means we might be shopping Shump.

I would rather try and shop Shump and pick to go get Rondo from the C's. Also with us trying to trade Shump, it means they believe in the guards we have now: JR, Hardaway, and Udroh.

What do you guys think about Shump? For me hes been a major disappointment this season, he has all the talent to be a Star but he just disappears for a majority of the game. It makes no sense, his shot could be falling from mid range but he won't aggressively try to get that shot. If he doesnt step it up I can see Woodson benching him for JR Smith.

This ideally, we get Rondo. I don't think we have any picks in the recent future which is what the Cs want.

Guess I misunderstood the ESPN scroll. Thought it said the trade happened, instead ESPN was reporting that the sides are "close", but now Denver denies it, so maybe ESPN was wrong.

Who plays the 3 for the hawks? Shump is too short to play the 3 normally IMO.

Also Melo plays very well with his mismatches at the 4, should be a good game for him.
