If you read a rumor that Idzik was thinking about bringing in either Incognito or Martin to bolster our o-line, who would you root for?

    Me? Incognito. Not even close.

And the first game that Mangold or Brick give up multiple pressures/sacks, I would direct Richie to toughen both of them up. They've become WAY to comfortable. I'm thinking a choke hold till they tap out.

And once he's straightened those two out, I'd send him after Wilson, Milliner, and Hills.

Maybe I watch too much hockey, but what our locker room is lacking is an enforcer. Give up a sack? Get knocked out. Forget an assignment? Get knocked out.

Of course this can never happen, but the thought of a true locker room goon to enforce the 'Play like a Jet' (or get knocked out) is just too appealing to ignore.

When your team captain is David Harris, the most soft spoken person on the team, it's time for a serious upgrade.

I'd like the better offensive lineman, although I would count the character issues against Incognito.

That's easy for me to say, seeing how I don't run an NFL team and have never been on a football team.

Oh yeah, those guys worked out just great for the Fins. Bring 'em on!

Seriously, Rex Ryan and a thug in the locker room? Really? Anybody see that happening?

Incognito without a doubt. I doubt that he would be like he usually is with the Jets. Reason why he does it in Miami and his other teams was because he was already the tough, big guy over there. I doubt that he would come here and be his usual self.. we have too many leaders here for that.

I'd be worried about Martin making our guys soft.

willie colon is a thug and i wouldn't want either. i don't care how good incognito is, i don't want a player who harasses a woman at a golf event, holds offensive line meetings at a strip club, and threatens to kill someones family. i'm ok with him saying the n-word cause i'm sure thats thrown around a lot in a locker room, but everything else is inexcusable. he also got kicked out of nebraska i'm pretty sure

Interesting question...but I think your wrong on incognitos influence in our locker room.

The oline, with Mangold and brick having many pro-bowl years on the jets, don't have an issue with leadership. Bringing in a volatile personality like incognito, I can't see it helping in anyway.

His character issues are going to be a net negative on the team if we bring him in.

I'd rather take Wayne Hunter back. I'm not kidding.

And this is why the NFL Is in the state it is in. Look at the win-at-all-costs attitude in this forum. Is there any ethical or moral consideration that would trump getting a player? My answer: yep, plenty. I would never touch Incognito and the sad part is a bunch of NFL teams passed on him BECAUSE of character concerns. Where is the line? Why not send in the scrubs to hurt star players and pay them under the table? We can take the whole bounty and head hunting fad to it's natural conclusion. How about threatening the other team members families if they perform up to par against us? Maybe we just start with hurting their pets and if they don't "take a dive" against us then we move onto the children? Apparently there is nothing football fans won't condone to win, so why not? The sky is the limit, right? I have never been so disgusted to be a football fan.

Wtf is your problem with Colon? Thug? Bull shit.

He has been good for us, a vocal leader and a mentor for the o-line, don't compare him to those other two assholes.

I wouldn't want either. Martin doesn't have the mindstate to make it in the NFL, and Incognito has too much baggage.

I don't get all of the Willie Colon love on here. He gets beat routinely in the run and passing game and when he doesn't he usually has to take about 3 steps back into Geno or the RB's face to keep his guy in front of him. Winters is shitty too so idk which guard is worse but we definitely need an upgrade of one of them next year.

Wtf is this original post. In what world do you think locker rooms work like that. God some people are dumb. You realize an "enforcer" in hockey is to beat the shit out of the other team when they mess with someone on your team, not the other way around. Have you ever played a team sport before?

    Neither.
Before all this hoo-hah Incognito was labelled as a troublemaker already. For my money all thats come out of the whole situation is that RI thinks hes a team leader and knows how to handle people, and he doesn't. Life skills from....?

Martin should have done one of two things here, flagged it up within the phins FO/CS or someone neutral. As far as I know he did neither.

What a couple of boneheaded idiots, no thanks to both.
