Aso was always over rated & never deserved to be compared to Revis. Unless he's coming really cheap, he doesn't even deserve a workout.
Isn't he a converted CB? That would be just what we need in the system, an extra CB that can stick his nose in a pile on run D so we can keep a base package o the field against hurry up offenses. I liked him when he was here. Versatile and played fast.
ehh ....im good. wasn't big on lowery when he played here. if the jags cut him how valuable must he really be?
He's been battling some injuries the last couple of years. The Jags could be looking to evaluate different players, maybe they dont think he is a good fit anymore? It doesnt just have to be talent related. The Jags signed him to a 4 year extension in March of 2012 so they clearly liked him.
Depends on the extent of the concussion. Players that have had them in the past are usually susceptible to getting them again. I'll take a pass on this one.
Different coaching staff, so who knows....... I think he's an average player, overrated a bit by JETS fans, based on a few big plays and the fact he was drafted here. Not physical enough to play SS, but I think his ball-hawk skills could fit well with what this team needs if he's healthy enough, and whether he's an improvement over guy #53
Landry is horrible, he plays 25 yards off the line of scrimmage and still gets beat deep, he is never in the right position
Nmadi has gone quickly from 15 million a year player being bid for by multiple teams to twice cut pretty much vet min player willing to work for food
those of you asking about nnamdi have not seen him play lately, dude is terrible ... and he cant tackle for shit so playing safety is out of the question id look into bringing lowery back tho
Agreed. One staff liked him, the other probably didn't. He'd have to play the FS position if the Jets brought him in (which seems unlikely) and Landry would have to go back to play SS which is his natural position anyway.
Landry is actually leading the secondary with 6 pass defenses, plus he's got a pick. He's not playing as badly as many think. Our secondary as a whole has been weak, but he's been one of the better players on the unit, believe it or not.
Reading this makes me realize how much I miss a guy like Victor Green... wow. I think Rex woulda had a field day using him all over the place!
I laughed out loud. Im in different on this subject. I dont hate the secondary. I hate they way they have played in the first half. Lets get better with the guys we have.
Welcome home brutha' JOELIP! 1 can never have too many decent & experienced DB's. I say "WHY NOT"! If we can strengthen our 2ndary, it would make our overall D straight ridiculous!! (...but next year, can we kindly pick-up some quality rec'vrs!!??)
