I thought the Jets didn't have a "Real Home" advantage, and their fans weren't loud?

I was actually in the Gmen messageboards yesterday (because I wanted to see the reaction of the Cowboys, Redskins, Eagles games), Giants fans were asking why it never gets as loud as it has been recently for Jet games.

It was refreshing to hear that level of noise coming across on DirecTV no less. It was kinda nice to see Brees burn that many TO's in the 1st qtr and how loud it got late in the game. If I didn't know better, I'd think the Jets finally are getting a homefield along with the advantages that come with it.

Now, if we can only get the Refs to buy into it... :)

I was at the game, the fan participation was amazing. Stadium was rocking all day long.

I applaud the Jets Game Entertainment and PR staff this year, trying to make Met Life Stadium feel more like a college atmosphere. It is still not quite there, but definitely has been improving. Of course, winning will make any stadium louder, so the Jets need to continue doing that.

The air raid siren helps fire up the crowd big time. The Giants are too "classy" to do anything like that.

We could always do like I believe the Colts used to do: add speakers and amplify the crowd noise. But that wouldn't be Cricket now would it... :)

Just wondering... Does anyone miss Fireman Ed yet?

Not taking anything away from those amazing fanbases, but those stadiums are built in a way that allows for great crowd noise. Jetlife Stadium is so huge and open that it's very easy for the sound to escape. I'd say it's more a stadium issue than a fan's passion issue.

Same. Only other games I've been to were at the end of last year when the Chargers killed McElroy (crowd was dead, obv) and the Giants game earlier this year when they lost to the Iggles (crowd wasn't nearly what the Jets crowd was). Even from home, I've noticed the crowd noise has seemed better this year with the exception of the Steelers game where it seemed like there Pittsburgh fans everywhere.

That defense is so much fun to watch in person. They feed of the fans and noise big time. Every 3rd down Mo and the dline are calling for LOUD NOISES!

I was at the game helping! My throat is so sore, and the stadium was really loud! It was so awesome. It was a great game to go to! I was in section 121, corner of the endzone lower level. What a great game!

I don't get the opportunity to watch many home games on TV with having the season tickets but I caught most of it yesterday because I had a flight that got in too close to game time to make it. Crowd sounded LOUD all game. Especially after the MoWilk sack late.

It comes down to how the team is performing- we are too cynical (as in not naive) of a fan base to cheer when there's a shitty product on the field- gimme something to cheer about, ill cheer my ass off. start looking like the same old, chances are ill be in my seat cracking the same sarcastic jokes ive been cracking my entire football life...
