Because I'm sorry that perfect textbook shoulder to stomach hit on Brees was among the most disgraceful things I've seen. There needs to be at least 1 reviewable penalty...perhaps make it on personal fouls only

That's worse than whatever we got the benefit on against TB and NE (and NE legit broke the rule) but you CANNOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES CALL THAT EVER

why not the rule as in baseball. Dumbfuck Jets hating ref makes a call, maybe a line judge back judge sees what really happened. Huddle up and REVERSE. Don't just let the braindead moron make the call. Talk about it. Discuss it!

There was a questionable personal foul called in the OSU / Texas Tech game last night where the DB was actually ejected from the game. They reviewed the play, and although the Targeting call still stood, at least the ejection was overturned.

If they can review these in the NCAA, I don't see why the NFL can't look at these also.

That call was so bad I really hope someone loses their job over it.

The fact that we were unable to challenge it makes it ten times worse than it was.

Looked like the refs really wanted to keep the saints in the game.

The refs should be reviewed as to their job performance. Terrible call, not even close.

Yeah that joke of a ref should be fired on the spot. Won't happen though, but should at least be fined and heavily.

I was honestly livid. Only because where else was Josh Bush supposed to hit him?

In fairness, the refs called a shit ton of penalties against the Saints today. As bad as the roughing calls were, the refs were not out to get the Jets today.

    9-59 on the Saints
    8-62 on the Jets

Agreed, they were just bad in general with the Bush hit on Brees being the biggest/most memorable one because of how terrible it was. Textbook form-tackle from Bush gets penalized

And what ones weren't warranted? The Jets had 2 ridiculous Roughing calls and a bogus holding call. The Saints had nothing remotely comparable called on them.

So what? Was the fix in?

    They were bad calls.

Jeezus........fans bitch when the refs don't call flags on the other team, now we bitch when they do, "but the Jets flags were worse".

The refs should be fined after reviewing the plays tomorrow. That way they make sure to call it right next time.

Did I say the fix was in? I am disputing your post that the game was poorly offiicated on BOTH sides. You obviously didn't come up with any penalities that were unwarranted on the Saints. I came up with 3 blatant ones on The Jets, 2 of which could have affected the outcome of the game. Anyone has the right to complain about that.

I agree with others that are saying certain penalities should be challengable, especially the RTP.

The ref that made that atrocious call on Bush should be suspended at the minimum. There's no way you can excuse that call in any way at all.

There were a couple of plays in the first half where Brees seemed to be getting the Brady treatment. Both probably should have been whistled dead as "in the grasp" but he was allowed to flip or shovel out a pass and on one was "awarded" a roughing.

He's trying to protect one of the league's marquis players. Do you really think the league is going to punish him for that, even if he got it wrong? Goodell will personally thank him. It's life in today's NFL.

Both roughing the passer penalties were shit calls. No doubt about it. Opening up replay to challenge judgment calls like PI, roughing the passer, holding, etc. is opening up Pandora's Box. No way it will happen. Games are long enough as it is.
