Go look at the scouting reports before the combine. The guy was a consensus 4th to 5th round pick. Then he awed everybody at the combine when his height and speed turned out to be as advertised and when he aced the athletic drills. That's a perfect recipe for creating a bust at the NFL level. The day they let people play in the NFL in skivvies and compete in cone drills on the field that may change but I'm not holding my breath on that one.
You guys have forgotten the SOJF rule of 8s If a Jet player doesnt score 8 TDs or make 8 picks or have 8 sacks in his first 3 games, that player is a definite BUST and 47 new threads have to be started each week to denounce him, demand his release and the firing of anyone who drafted him
I seem to remember someone analyzing Hill and pointing out he does not reach for the ball on his receptions, but in effect requires the pass come into his breadbasket. That more than negates his height, among other things. He also does look fragile, and has missed games. On the other hand it is also true he has been open and the Qb has missed him. And last year Sanchez flat out suckedd, so it is hard to place too much blame on Hill. I think at this point he may stick in the NFL, but does not look anything like a potential #1 wr.
The one thing that irks me is that the Jets traded up for him and passed on Alshon Jeffery with the pick.
So then we have absolutely not one good receiver on this team? Not one. Not even Kerley, since you know, their stats are almost identical.
If you go back and look at players that your team "could of had" your team would be full of superstars at every position.
Well, looks like Hill is still MIA. Not sure why he even suits up. Must be in his contract or something.
Does he just run go routes every play so we can take 1 more person out of the box. The guy is pretty much useless.
I will officially eat crow on this one....he sucks...he really sucks. that last play that Geno was pissed about was an obvious comeback route and Hill never even stopped...or turned. The kid has every tool you can have...except upstairs.
