BTW, I am NOT making any excuses for that loss, but that "interference" penalty on Kreider was one of the worst calls I have ever seen from any official in any sport. Does the NHL hold these guys accountable?
15 goals scored, 35 given up. proposition bet- who's number is higher? the ranger goal total tonight against the islanders or how many joints I smoke today? (hint hint, take the latter, i'm in pain watching these guys play)
Pyatt needs to go. No doubt about that. Pouliot played amazing Saturday. I thought Boyle was playing decently this year.
Phew, nearly jinxed the game. Saw they were up 1-0 so I decided to put them on. 30 seconds later, Islanders scored so I turned it off. They always play like crap when I watch them on TV. Watching replays of the Rangers goals now. Kreider - Wow, great job. Watched the puck, didn't even look at the goal. Just found it and ripped it in. McDonagh - Very nicely done. Goalie had no idea what was going on. Pouliot - Great play all around. Nice job dropping the puck off to an open forward and getting into position. Nice job by whoever gave it right back to him to just wrist it right in. Goalie couldn't follow the fast pace of the play and in it goes.
How loud was the crowd on Pouliot's goal?!! That was great. Today's Birthday: Denis Potvin (60) Eat shit & die Denny.
C'mon Man 100 percent of the world's Icelander fans showed up at the Mausaleum for the game---- ALL nearly 5000 of them Drowned put by about 9000 of the millions of fans of the ONLY NY metro area NHL franchise- The NY Rangers
Kreider was the best player on the ice the last 2 games, Talbot continues to play well, but who cares about the backup goalie? (it was better we had Biron who was hot fuckinn' garbage)....Hagelin's speed opens ice for Brassard and Pouliot
HAHAHAH FIRST OF ALL, MY PREDICTIONS ALWAYS GIVE US WINS....SO, YOURE WELCOME. secondly, when did I ever say Kreider sucks? I said Torts didn't ruin him or treat him unfairly. Hagelin sucks. And always will
yep. we all know hagelin skates up and down the ice. With no production though. Who did he open the ice up for all of last year?
Hagelin was by far the best player on the ice. There is no home-ice advantage like the Nassau Coliseum. The visiting team has no idea when a support beam might crumble through the ceiling and crush them.
Kreider is out of his mind right now...and the great thing is that this is not just a "small stretch" of games. The handwriting is on the wall that there are probably at least 5 players who were almost destroyed by a coaching system that are now slowly but surely showing what type of hockey players they are. Richards is up there in age and if he quietly slipped away after last season, it would not been the end of his world. What happened to Kreider was a disgrace...total disgrace. I cant sit here and say I didnt like Torts but there were several ways about the way this team played that weighed down true skill players. A guy like Kreider..with perhaps one more year of Torts system..could have killed his career. I really do believe there are a handful of very talented players on the frontline that will eventually wipe off the Torts rust and excel. I really believe the backline has some solid offensive talent that will eventually come out. A guy like Nash...who can carry the puck and himself through any system was the rare exception. Kreider? Watching him that past 4 or 5 games has been friggin great. This kid is ready to explode. He needed that goal last night badly because he should have 4 more at least. He is a rare talent in the NHL of size....speed....awareness..and touch. I think this kid is about to become something very very special.
