You guys also ended up acquiring a RB that I really like too in Chris Ivory. I was really hoping we would make a play for him, but you guys got him. It worked out, because we still landed Gio in the draft. I think you guys have a guy in Ivory that "could" wind up being a very, very good RB in this league. He has to stay healthy and stay on the field, but if he can and continue to get better, I see big things for him potentially.

I see the Jets and Bengals as similar teams, with the Bengals a year or so ahead of us in the team building process (especially on offense).

Both teams will try to establish the run, struggle with it, but continue to emphasize as long as they do not fall behind early. Falling behind early would not be good for either team.
Both teams will play good defense as well.

The keys will become turnovers of course, generating/protecting the pass rush, and exploiting mis matches to generate offense.
The TE's, RB's receiving out of the backfield, and slot guys will generate most of the offense for both teams.
The team which does the above best, will likely win.

The 1 wildcard to it all, which could be a difference, is the ST.
I like Cribbs in this familiar match up for him, and of course Folk has been money!

How is his knee? Any issues? Couldn't really get a sense whether the concern during the draft was because of the prior ACL surgery or whether he had reinjured or tweaked it.

Such a dynamic player, what I love about the NFL seeing these guys we saw in college play in the pros.

So far, no issues at all. He's been healthy and the knee has been fine.

This game is pegged at like CBS's 4th game. We have a pretty bad CBS crew doing the game. Considering the teams, and their records, you'd think it would be the top game.

Already discussed -- NOONE outside of NY/CIn is going to see this game due to television rules and a Fox double header - wouldn't make a difference if both teams were 7-0.

Yes. I'm well aware. Your statement does not make my point any more or less correct. Thanks though.

It makes your point irrelevant because CBS isn't going to waste Nantz/Simms or whoever else they deem as their best crews on a game noone in the country is going to see.

Except I never said CBS should have their best crew doing the game. I just said there was a bad crew doing the game.

Our secondary is absolute trash, Cincy is NOT this good. I don't agree with kicking field goals and not squibbing it with 1 minute left. We needed to go into halftime down 21-10, 28-6 is a nightmare.

You do realize the Bengals are a SB contender and the Jets as of this year are just an average team, not real good but not that bad either.
