I like the VJax comparison, and he reminds me of Brandon Marshall. Would love him on our squad, but think he won't be around. I'd prefer to toss money at Nicks and let him remain in NYC.

Marquis Lee's stock is dropping each and every week. If things continue to be sour over in USC, I fully expect Lee to drop to the end of the first. It's really a shame Brandon Coleman doesn't get more looks over at Rutgers.

Also at the end of the day, I think the Jets FO will need to find out what exactly they want in a top WR. Speed or Size? Evans is #1 on my list with Watkins being #2. I hope we draft at least 2 WRs.

  4. Coleman & Lee are likely the best movement guys in the class. Both are extremely smooth in & out of breaks;Easily getting separation in their routes.

I think speed has to win the above argument if only b/c the Jets biggest weakness is lack of explosion. A size guy will certainly give you big plays..but speed is the great equalizer.

Im just afraid Lee gets injury prone his body frame seems that he cant take big hits.

Yeah, I can see the Jets going for speed also. Marty needs a "Desean Jackson" type player on this roster, Watkins has the best chance to replicate that role.

Coleman is just that physical WR that I love though. Someone that if at the LOS gets jammed, just throws them out of the way plays hard on every snap and physical. Can wear down cornerbacks. It will def depend on Marty's preference.

Lee is a great route runner, but not too sure about his durability. In a sense, I believe Kerley can play the role of Marquis Lee on the Jets. Sure Kerley might not be as good as Lee but I think they are the same player one with more of a ceiling.

Say we do get Josh Gordon, chances are we almost definitely do not pick a WR in the first round. In that case, estimating we have a pick from 10-15 which we probably will, what do you all think should be the position we address in the first round? I think most people would say OLB, but I think seeing as how Barr would be gone as will Vic Beasley, we should wait until the second or third for a OLB and draft Ebron from UNC. An aerial attack featuring Josh Gordon, Stephen Hill, Jeremy Kerley, and Eric Ebron as starters with Geno slingin' it would be lethal. What do you guys think?

I'd be down. Ebron's stock has risen to the point where he'd go mid-1st round probably.

Ebron will be a 1st round pick, but Im not really a big proponent of the Jets picking him then. Idk, I like him, but he has too inconsistent hands to be a 1st round pick in my eyes. If you are a TE and are going to be a 1st round pick, you better be one hell of a mismatch and catch everything thrown to you. In that sense, I see ASJ as more of a mismatch. Colt Lyerla could be a great 2nd or 3rd round option too now that he left school for some reason.

Jace Amaro could have been another potential 1st round TE, but he's heading back to school next year.

Ebron as of now is a for sure first rounder off the board with ASJ struggling and Lyeria out of Oregon all together he overtakes the top spot at TE. That would be dream scenario but first things first get Gordon.

I could be wrong, but I think MM's system favors the smaller, speedier WRs. As awesome as Evans looks, I'm not sure he's the type of WR for this team in this scheme.

We already have the big, deep threat in Hill. I think we need more guys with shiftiness speed, so that when Geno delivers them the ball in space, they then can try to beat the defender(s) with their YAC ability. This is something Hill lacks on his short & intermediate routes, although his size/strength allows him to occasionally beat his man after the catch.

If Evans is there you take him and dont look back. Give MM Maclin then but you still take Evans

I could see Ebron being our pick if we end up in the late teens. Especially if we land Maclin, then try and get either Seastrunk or Sankey in the second. Maybe even go Jordan Matthews.

Allen Robinson from PSU might be another WR to keep an eye on.

Mike evans is a possession Receiver ( you can throw him even when he is covered cuz he fights for the ball) , the others you said are speed receivers ( both have great hands), i see your point the jets need more explosiveness on offense and we would lack that drafting evans but in the redzone and crucial 3rd downs Evans is a beast.
