He was the second best wideout the Jets had when Chrebet was playing. Heh, heh, heh.... He'd blow a gasket reading that.
NFL Live douches on ESPN picked the Bungles (Jeff Saturday, Herm, and Jerome Bettis), saying their defense is too good and apparently Andy Dalton is a threat to our defense
Media can affect players both ways....motivating the players who are referred to a canine shit but also causing teams and players that have been put on a pedestal to play a bit soft, as in they've arrived, they're the best, not much need to kill themselves. Way to have our back Keyshawn
I hope every single analyst picks against us all the way to the Super Bowl.. I do not need anybody from the media's approval to feel good about the Jets.. Could give 2 shits who they pick.
The reason why we haven't won handfuls of Super Bowls is obviously we have been favored to win week in and week out for 40 years and the team has gotten soft because of it.
Never played in the NFL, highest level I played at was high school, you don't have to take my word for it though it was my opinion.
I agree with Overload, it's what just about every player and coach has said since time immemorial. Fans, media, clippings, hexes, predictions by experts, Vegas, metaphysical stuff does not effect winning and losing. Good line play, no turnovers, an opportunistic punt return, solid QB play, not committing 20 penalties- THAT'S what causes wins and loses. _
Did you know that Keyshwan's english teacher was Miss Spell? Way to have our back Kewshayn! Err, Keyshawn.
The picks are funny. Let's see: Week one, unanimous to lose to the Bucs. Week three, Bills slightly favored. Week five, unanimous to lose to Falcons. Week 6, favored against Steelers. Week 7, all pick Patriots except 1. Week 8, Bengals heavily favored. We play our best football when other teams are heavily favored apparently. This will play in our favor! Muahahahahaa.
so how do you explain teams that are not favored to win and, in fact, do lose? is it because they have no ego and pride, and thus all upsets are simply a result of having a team of players who have ego and pride and are also considered under dogs? additionally, those players then become too prideful and egotistic when favored to win and thus do not play hard? and this happens so regularly that upsets are undoubtedly attributed to a teams ego and pride either motivating them to win against the odds or losing despite being favored. but how do you determine whether the team that was an underdog won simply because of their ego and pride forcing them to play harder or whether the result was simply because the favored team either was too prideful from being favored and simply didn't play hard? how do you determine which was the determining factor? this is all very confusing. or maybe not, and it is just simply another form of fan insecurity thinking because they are emotionally invested in the result but have no control over it that there are some mystic forces at work that determines the outcome beyond what you see on the field. like sitting in your favorite chair, wearing your hat backwards, or some force dictating that when a team is an underdog they will somehow play better.
so why does almost every team ever have a much better record when playing at home than when playing away?
Did anyone in this thread at anytime say this was a full proof formula or was it simply inferred that teams who are looked at as not having a chance tend to play hard and muster up extra motivation to play harder. If you have one competitive bone in your body then you would understand being told you cant accomplish something drives you harder to accomplish it. Way to have our backs Keyshawn!!!!!!
