3. Steve "Slipitis" Tannen 2. Charley (The farthest thing from a) Winner 1. Whoever the hell the GM was in the late 70's who coined the phrase "The NEW New York Jets" (The same SOB who kept trying to sell everyone on the list MORE season tickets but wouldn't upgrade me from the bleachers to a real seat "Just send in your money and we'll see what we can do")
I think it's personally hard to dislike players because of their on the field performance. I go more by off the field personality and actions. My list is: Favre - the most selfish player to wear an NFL uniform. Tebow- for what he did to the team. The most divisive player in NFL history Keyshawn - for his ego, for his jealousy of Chrebet, and for forcing his way off the team for more money with two years on his contract Revis-- it was only about the money for him and never about the team. Mr holdout. He was a great great player, but his contract antics hurt the team . Enjoy your $16 million on the dysfunctional winless Bucs Gastineau - the more we got to know him, the more we realized what an asshole he was Baker and Kendall - for the infantile way they forced their way off the team Joe Walton - terrible coach and person who unfortunately had very talented teams. Micheals wins a SB with the 80s Jets. Scotty - arrogant coach and QB killer. Awful coach, awful system , stubborn refusal to change.
I agree 100%, Ranting about shithead Shula got Walt fired and the nosepicker proceeded to ruin all his hard work...
I have never hated anyone on or involved with the Jets more than I hated Joe Walton. If I hadn't been a kid in the 80s I'd probably hate Gastineau too both for the Kosar hit and Brigette Nielsen induced abandonment of the team.
BTW -- I never had a sense that Walton was a "terrible person" and have read some stuff that made him seem like a decent guy. I just hated him for blowing so many games with such a talented team (and for that @#$%^& backwards baseball cap).
If I have to pick a player it'd probably be Richard Todd, mostly for seeming to quit on the AJ Duhe play :-(

I can understand. Jets passed up all pro John Dutton to take Barzalauskas, who was a huge guy that showed absoultely no heart on the field. Was routinely controlled by one defensive lineman, and occasionally by a tight end! Bad bad player.
