Check out another editorial by Ryan Ruppert a.k.a. Jonathan_Vilma http://www.theganggreen.com/2013/10/24/jets-look-dominant-in-huge-win-over-pats
"But the Jets definitely deserved to win this game as it seemed as though they were dominating in every facet of the game." So true. And I thought, to some extent, the first game we played with them was the same way. That game seemed within reach too. Two close games that could have gone either way. But I for one feel terrific that the days are gone when Brady would mop the floor with us. We really competed with them these past two games and Geno is only going to get better. Get him some fast, physical WRs and a little more help in some other areas and we could dominate the division in the next several years!
The Jets have looked dominant in certain aspects of every game except the Titans. Even with respect to the Steelers, they only allowed one touchdown. If they play well and win one of the next two, the last seven games could be very interesting
Very well written. You don't see that all the time especially with guys like Mehta and Cimini hangin around.
When we beat them 49-19 or 45-3, that's when we can say we were dominant. Other than the use of that word, the piece was spot-on.
You're right and what's nice to see is that early mistakes from both players and CS are slowly getting ironed out. I can't wait for Aprils draft and TC, the way this team is building so quickly and learning we should be a force for years to come. Hopefully this is going to coincide with :gpc:
No, it is about the points. Saying you dominated when you were in overtime makes no sense. Saying you dominated after missing a 56 yard kick and are given a free 2nd shot on a penalty call no one had ever heard of? Crazy. I am as big of a Jets fan as there is, but I can't remember the last time the Jets actually dominated the Patriots. The 2010 playoff game was close, but the Jets offense did not really dominate, and the Patriots were able to make it a 7 point game in the end. Don't get me wrong, I would love to dominate them, but it hasn't happened. Also, maybe the writer forgot the 21-10 PATRIOTS LEAD at halftime? The Ravens did dominate the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game last year. That was brutal. Great performance by them. I loved it.
^Hill's TD doesn't get enough discussion. Especially, if we are talking about "crazy" penalties. Jets dominated the 3rd quarter and had the Pats reeling the entire second half. Pats completed 1, 3rd down all day; 1.
