Luck and Wilson are top 10 QBs already. RG3 had a historically effective rookie year. I love Geno, but his performance thus far pails in comparison to the "misfits" you're referring to.

Objectivity has no place on this forum. Please refrain.

Clearly Luck, Wilson and RG3 suck.

Well Wilson wasn't getting much hype yet. Then he threw for 18 TDs and 3 INTs the rest of the year.

Luck was hyped before, labeled the next Peyton, the hype never died down, but the hype rose as the Colts ended up in the WC spot afte rLuck threw for 4,000+ yards.

RGIII was the best QB of the bunch at this point, completing a very very high % of his passes for a rookie and running, coming off of a 130+ rushing, 180+ passing game.

Geno hasn't played as well as the rookie at this point, but all 3 rookies last year finished the year very strong.

I would love to see a comparison of the big 3 rookie QBs stats through 7 games vs Geno's

    add Tannehill too

I agree. This is around the time of year when Wilson really took off. Luck and RG3 were better than Geno to start.

I like what I see out of Geno and he's outplaying RGIII now which is obviously great.

Luck is awesome. Any comparisons to QBs from last year will be a bit unfair.

Thanks for the numbers. You're right. It's definitely a lot closer than I thought it was going to be. And, my god, RGIII looked insane this time last year.

You can't step up in the pocket when the pressure comes from inside. After Winters was inserted in the line up he is more confident doing that. The QB is not the only player on the field.

You looneys are criticize every single play. Ever heard of eye test. Who give a damn about bomb in the endzone. Plus, Geno atop the league at slinging those bombs so you can't really criticize him on it because there is no one to compare him with in this regard.

I think back to 2009 and how different this team was with a 5th overall pick QB compared to 2013 with a 39th overall pick QB. Geno has looked MUCH better than Mark did, but I have to factor in the difference in offensive coordinators and the run-first style the Jets had in 2009. However, no one can deny, that the Jets are asking way more from Geno in 2013, than they asked of Mark in 2009.

Those INTs jump out from the other stats.

Any idea what the respective QB ratings were?

That is so true. This dude use to throw over 500 passes at WV. Give him a couple of sure-handed receivers he'll put up video game numbers. Plus, with his accuracy he doesn't really need his WRs to be wide open. He seems to like the short speedy WR types like Kerley(and Austin at WV) because he doesn't have to wait too long for them to become open.

As long as the dude stays accurate he doesn't have to change squat. He just need weapon now. Did you see how we march down field the first 2 possessions? Plenty where that came from.

"Game manager" and "deadly accurate on deep balls" doesn't work well describing one player. Geno is not a game manager by any stretch. He is a big time accurate QB with big time arm. You can't be accurate and have a bazooka yet be a game manager. Stop it!

By what metrics? But one thing I know, none of them have a more accurate arm than Geno. With accuracy a QB can survive for a long time in this league. And that's for sure.

39th pick is being ask to keep Rex from getting fired. Totally unfair proposition.

If I had to pick one of those QBs to make an accurate throw to save my life, I would pick Geno. Geno doesn't seem to make too many errant throws. Rookie decisions, yes.

    Those numbers are interesting.

Its just nice to have someone who can throw the ball downfield.

Someone actually said to me after the game that Geno never checks down and throws it downfield too much

    Refreshing to hear
