Where's the love for Kerley? New "Mr. 3rd down". This man is all second effort and finds the invisible yellow line, when we need it most.
Gotta love the contribution Cribbs made. The punt return for 20 yards was a big play in flipping field position eventually leading to a score. He actually is the perfect fit for the wild-cat as well as he ran in it in Cleveland. On the other hand the punt coverage team is beyond atrocious. Something has to be done about it because Quigley's punts while not necessarily booming seem to have a decent amount of hang time allowing the coverage to get there. Edelman killed them in the game up there and field position was a huge factor in that game.
LOVE this addition. cribbs is a gamebreaking player and we really didnt have one before. he isnt a guy who will get many snaps, but between kick/punt returns and 5-10 offensive snaps he will have some chances. Also, now im finally ok with running the wildcat, since he is an actual threat to throw the ball. more like brad smith. the 2 times he was in the WC worked great. hope we incorporate him more in the upcoming weeks, but love this addition
Really glad he's fitting in well. Loved him when he was a Brown and hope he continues to be a producer for you guys.
Kinda sad that picking up Josh Cribbs mid season gets us excited. Shows the condition or lack of playmakers we currently have. That said, glad he's here.
Don't get me started on Gates, man. I was having a good day until you mentioned Gates The Pass Dropper. The first Patriots game had a different outcome if one of those three dropped passes had been freaking caught. We'd be 5-2 and the Pats would be 4-3 right now and sucking wind in the AFC East.
I usually agree with your posts, but this I can not agree with at all. Why is it such a bad thing to be excited when we grab a guy like Cribbs mid season? Lack of talent and playmakers, yes, but we had a chance to grab someone who was just a better returner then we already have. Had he not had that injury, the guy would be on the starting roster of any team in this league. We had a chance to take him hoping he could return to his previous ways and he has. This is would be very exciting for any team
Hard to believe how close Cribbs came to retirement. If the Jets did't reach out to him, he would've sat out this season which kills his chances of getting signed for 2014. Cribbs is in the ending stages of his career but he's definitely not done. Hopefully, he can stay injury free & compete for a spot next year also.
