Cowturd predicted a 2-14 season for the Jets Cowturd is a Patriot buttkissing stupid jackass with a mike
it was a good call based on the rules in the NFL rule book (but not what is on their website or on the video of the VP of officiating) . . . so don't really have a problem with it . . . we see if the NFL calls is more during the rest of the season . . . I believe there have been over 400 FG attempts this season and am surprised that this has not happened before . . . time will tell if we see this penalty called moving forward . . .
Pretty obvious call after they showed the replay. It even clearly looks like a designed play by the Pats. Jones is lined up a bit behind the rest of the line and he purposely cuts behind the other rusher to then push him from behind. So if anyhting Bilicheat should catch up on rule changes. But to those saying that it shouldnt have been flagged and to let them play......what better time for the league to make it known this is a new rule and they are going to enforce it...... now EVERYONE knows of the rule change and have no excuses. As a previous poster said, this is a rule change that was brought to the league by the Players Association for safety reasons, so stop with this bs about Goodell ruining the game........THE PLAYERS WANTED THIS RULE CHANGE!
Maybe the other teams are not doing it because its illegal. Why would it surprise you that the Patriots are the only team trying to get away with something illegal. Apparently, the Pats did it on the first field goal also. Maybe the Jets knew the Pats were doing and tipped the officials at the right time, kind of like an illegal stick claim in hockey.
Belichik knew the rules and was trying to manipulate it. it didn't work and he cost his team a game and has admitted it: http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story...ngland-patriots-admits-was-wrong-play-penalty if the league reworded the rule it was simply done to eliminate Belichik's justification for attempting to manipulate the rule, not any confusion about the rule. Belichick is a smart guy, he knew what he was doing. it is a loose definition of on the line of scrimmage where Jones was lined up if you try to claim he was on the line when he was a good foot behin any of the other players, nevertheless an attempt to claim he is on the line of scrimmage when he retreats away from it and behind the other player. that is like saying a player who lines up on the line of scrimmage then drops back into coverage remains on the line of scrimmage. it is nonsense. so even with the line of scrimmage language Jones action violates the rule.
As I understand it, the wording that was removed yesterday should not have been there in the first place, as it was written about the intent of the rule before it was enacted, and was not the wording of the rule that the NFL enacted.
According to espn first take. The pats got robbed. What about us? We came in the second and shut brady down to a merley 6 points the rest of the game. Q)Would brady have made a quick run to end the game if no penalty is called? A) Maybe. But he was not playing like the superstar he is/was yeasterday and anything could have happen. We have gotten ticky tac calls against us all game. Hill TD was a acting job by mcCourty which negated our TD and lost 4 points. Q) How many times has the pats gotten calls just because they are the pats? A) All the time. They recieved the ultimate gift against the raiders to propel them to their next 3 titles. Q) BB will stoop to any level to win a game? A) Yes. And has got caught many times. Q) Do us jet fans regret the way we won? A) Hell no ! Bill B looks for any edge he can get. Even if it is beyond the rules. BB tried his hardest to block a kick from a hot PK and got caught. I bet bill told that kid to level himself as much as he can. Disregard the rule and practice blocking FG/punts that way. The illegal way and finally got caught. A win is what we needed and we should have beated them week 2 so we even. Just happy for the win. And one more thing. How come no holding calls during edlmans P/R's ? I seen almost every return at least 2 players holding.
pats fans should be happy, that called saved them from having to watch brady suck for another drive and the jets march it right back down their 'cant stop a nose bleed' defenses throat.
Yes, but it wasn't - for a fucking change....... and if you want to play that game, the obvious flop taken in the end zone on that BS PI call that called the Stephen Hill TD back would have had the game in the Jets favor in the first place, so you could say that call at the end was an "adjustment" that was due anyway. In any event. It IS the rule. They DID break it. It got called. End of discussion.
Scouting Report: "Has small hands and glaring ball security issues (32 career fumbles)...will be troubled by the elements."
BB just sent a letter out stating it was a penalty..they were even warned DURING THE GAME about doing it...and they still did it. They were warned after the Saints game and according to Colon DURING THE GAME...BB just thought what they did TO THE SAINTS THE WEEK BEFORE...and did to the Jets was not a penalty and did it anyway. End of story
Was not as blatant though which might have been the key factor. I still have no idea if in that gif a Jet pushed his own teammate or not, he might have just touched him with two hands.
The referee said it doesn't matter how hard someone was pushed, however, I don't actually have the link to him saying it, I just read it somewhere and don't remember where.
