Bengals have won three close games in a row. Hopefully the law of averages catches up to them and they comes out flat, sloppy, and complacent after a win -- instead of doing that again ourselves
I want to say that Geno has grown up and he has learned from his INTs but you don't know from week to week, so this week according to his schedule he should have a bad week coming up, so lets hope that Geno can buck this recent trend
You give the Bengals way too much credit. NE has a better record so I guess they are half the team? The Bengals. The team that almost lost to the Bills. They are good but Dalton isn't.
I just hope Powell can play next week. We need Geno to not turn the ball over. For the defense to get pressure on Dalton, we need Cro to contain AJ Green and hope the safety's contain their TE's. Hopefully David Nelson continues his steady play, Kerley continues to be solid, Cumberland continues his progression and Hill catches a few deep bombs. I hope Coples gets in on the act and steps up. I wanna see Richardson and Wilkerson continue doing what they're doing. Same for Davis and Harris at the ILB position. To summarize Offense -Geno to have a clean game similar to the Falcons game -the run game needs to be effective with a combo of Powell and Ivory -WR's to step up and hopefully Holmes returns -Cumberland continues his progression and becomes a weapon for Geno. -O line needs to protect Geno -little to no wildcat Defense -Cromartie needs to contain Green -contain their tight ends -Coples needs to get involved -The d line to get interior pressure -contain their run game -be disciplined that means no penalties
I think the gang green's defensive line will give Dalton a LOT more trouble than Geno will get. MM will dial up a game plan similar to the Falcons with tons of quick 3 drop slants to Kerely and Cumberland and tons of screens to.....wait for it....Cribbs. And on defense Rex was forced to play semi-conservative today with Brady at QB and The Gronk running wild. But next week against Dalton? Please child. Rex will let the big dogs out. I already feel sorry for Dalton.....he's about to get killed at home. Jets 7 Bungles 2 (and that's just the sacks!).
The big key to your second point, Gresham and Green. Our LBs and Safeties have their hands full and AJ Green is probably the best or second best WR Cro is going to have seen this year. If you can't single cover them, the heavy blitzing will backfire very quickly.
I like the Jets chances, but has anyone noticed this pattern? W L W L W L W I don't like what comes next!
Don't the bengals have a great front 4? We are going to need to pass to open up the run. Something I am nervous about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
