it's different when you're the recipient of the calls instead of the victim of the calls. Must be strange to be a Pats Fan tonite.

I didnt say they have anyone on it...Kraft and BB are the strongest one two punch in the NFL today..in fact over the past 7 years. Their fingerprints are on anything and everything.

Teams that lose to the Jets just don't get the 'nod & wink' calls from the officials....if the Pats want to continue getting 99% of the calls in their favor, tell them to start beating someone. Until then, STFU.

Could be because the snapper or the guard next to him is now taking on close to 750 pounds without leverage potentially driving his head into his neck and compressing his spine? Might not be so unreasonable if your the one taking it on.

Haha, it's a crime to make a call against the Putz if it seemingly makes them lose the game. Hilarious.

Yeah, the tuck rule stuck around too long.

But not even Jets fans could pretend that what Chris Jones did endangered the safety of the line when looking at the actual play...or can they? Pretty soon they'll be playing the game in pink dresses.

Its incredible how anyone could make an argument for their treatment in this league.

Did you see what they did to Gonzales of the Falcons at the end of that game? Perfect example...the same thing we did to him and got called on. It was the same exact thing. They mugged him all the way into the end zone.

The announcers calling the game were saying how brilliant it was. One week later we were getting flagged for it.

Sure is nice seeing the majority of the Patsies here whining like little bitches.

Can't wait till Brady retires and that becomes the norm for them.

No but endangering the safety isn't in the rule.

Those are tow different arguments, one is if Jones was endangering the safety, the other if he broke the rule. No and yes.

There are plenty of pink dresses to go around..the qb on the team the Jets played against surely has several in his closet. When being rushed, he goes down quicker then a prostitute trying to secure a quick 10 bucks for her next crack score.

But Im getting off course here. Watching that play...you do not think the rules committee saw over 700 pounds pushed into the line as dangerous?

And its not like they showed it so the Jet lineman knew it was coming. He lined up in another spot then circled around the Pat player lined up on him.

Sorry...that looks like a pretty dangerous play.

Players proposed rule prohibiting pushing of teammates during field goal tries

So where did the rule come from prohibiting defensive players from pushing teammates on the line of scrimmage during field goal attempts?

Per a league source, players proposed the change during the annual February meeting with the Competition Committee to identify possible rule changes. Specifically, Redskins center Will Montgomery brought with him video examples of situations in which players were being pushed along the line during field goal attempts, causing possible injury.

The Competition Committee listened, became persuaded, and recommended the rule change. The owners voted in March to adopt it.

The source, who confirmed that it was the right call, also explained that Patriots coach Bill Belichick should not have been under the impression that only pushing from the second level was prohibited. As it was explained during visits to every team before the season, any pushing of players on the line of scrimmage — including pushing from other players on the line of scrimmage — constitutes a violation.

That replay will be shown over & over this week and the vast majority of NFL fans will agree it was a shame the game was decided on such nonsense.
But by all means enjoy your victory.

Hey, I'm glad the Patriots, more than any other team, were the ones on the receiving end of this. I was actually happy about that.

But this is one stupid rule, and I think it was ticky-tack in this instance...but I can't be sure, as I've never seen it before. Real dumb. But I guess it's just another rule Belichick wasn't aware of...you know, like that whole Spygate thing.

I just find it to be a bizarre rule, and for a game to be decided like that...

Pretty easy to not do it.

To say its BS isn't fair. Westhoff was on after the game and said it was the correct call. It was a rule he was lobbying for last year.

It was definitely the correct call. You simply can't do that anymore.
