The Italians are among the worst at hiding their obvious hatred and racist bigotry towards people of color. Last time I was in Italy was about 17 years ago, the racism was just accepted as being 'normal'. The overall impression I had of Italy when I left was it was on the verge of being a 3rd world country, poverty was(is?) rife over there. The UK is an Island nation and as such is more difficult to get into, geographically so we don't really have the same animosity here but If you go over to the likes of France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Spain and Portugal there are massive amounts of immigrants, and they do put an immense strain on the economics of a country and this is where a lot of this racism stems from. I'm certainly not advocating racism in any way shape or form, but there are people in these countries that see immigrants coming into their countries and being given housing and benefits and not putting anything back into the society. I can understand where this anger is coming from.
It doesnt just "go away" but espeically when it comes to white woman, Ive seen them easily forgiven. It will be seen as truely an accident and everyone will feel sorry for her afterwards. Just what I've noticed. Heck, Miley Cryus for example. 2 years from now it will be seen as her going "through a phase" and that she was just acting out for attention while she crys on 20/20 making her transition to Gospel Music If a black woman were to twerk and act out the way she has, she wouldnt get as much attention, espeically having to be invited to SNL weeks later... She'd be called "ghetto" or worst. Society generally really is more forgive to whites, espeically the white woman.
