What do the resident draftniks think about this guy? I think MM could work wonders with this kid. I love his arm and footwork.

You want to give up on Geno???

Morris would be at worst a 3rd Round selection, maybe Round 2 and the Jets aren't going to draft a QB that high.

Stephen Morris has almost the same exact skill set as Geno.

Except I think Morris possesses the superior arm, footwork and overall athleticism.

Unless Idzik's mantra of competition is just lip service, why wouldn't we draft another QB? Geno was just the BPA in the 2nd round picked by a team staying true to their board. It's not like he was a first round pick that we owe a 5 year commitment to. At this point it go either way Geno, there is no reason not look at any QBs.

As a 4th or 5th round pick, why not?

I'm not saying "don't draft another QB". The QB you brought up, Morris, will be at worst a 3rd round pick, probably Rd 2, and I believe we have more needs than drafing a QB that early, even with 2 - 3rd Round picks in 2014.

Ain't happening, Morris could become a solid 2nd Round selection.

agree at this point we'll have more QB's taken in rounds 1 and 2 next year than we had this past year......

teams have seen what the wilsons and kapernicks of the league have done - but they are also watching what smith, manual, and even glennon are currently doing.

add to that the overdraft thing and u will definitely get several guys taken early on next may. not saying top 10 but it will be a QB active rounds 1-3.

Nick Foles 3rd round. Russell Wilson 3rd round. both showing A grade potential now. Unless Geno blows it, If we draft another QB we need to get one like these guys in the 3rd. This draft is a lot like two years ago, the RG3s and Lucks will overshadow the Foles and Wilsons.

Difference is those teams needed QBs at the time, Seattle didnt have a proven Qb and Foles was drafted because of Vicks injury history. A QB controversy doesnt needed to potentially started and thats exactly what would happen if we drafted a QB that high and Geno struggled next year. Point is he is going to struggle(as young QBs do) and we dont need to make it any tougher on him.

I disagree. It's exactly the same as of now, we don't have a proven QB either. If he struggles that bad next year then we have another guy to put in there and give a shot and won't have passed up a great QB class just to watch another season go down in flames. If he's our franchise QB then he won't struggle to the point of needing to be benched and we have a solid backup. The whole not putting pressure on him thing is crap, this is the NFL; biggest stage in pro sports, these guys already have the max amount of pressure on them to perform.

Ditto. Morris this year would be the first QB taken last year. I love his game.

Lmao let's give up on a rookie six games into the season.

The fans of this team are really sickening. Go cheer for another team please. It would make our life so much easier

Its 6 games into the season, He's a rookie what do want him to play like Peyton Manning off the bat, what exactly do you want him to prove to u so early on. Its not about about the pressure thing, but face it QB's get treated differently. Geno played great just 2 weeks ago, now he's needs to be replaced already. This fan base is crazy sometimes and I'm not directly saying that to you.

Just cause its a supposed great QB class doesn't mean any of them will be great, why not go all in on Geno. We "HAVE" our QB already and he's shown enough to be given a chance. He isn't playing like Blaine Gabbert or anything. Exert as many picks to help a QB we chose in the 2nd round to be great. We pick a QB high next year its a waste of a pick and then shows Geno u expect him to fail and whats the point of that.

I'd rather spend that 2nd or 3rd rounder on getting another playmaker for Geno to throw to.

Bingo. So far ive been impressed with Geno, especially with such a lack of weapons. Lets go offense heavy in the draft and surround Geno with talent, and we'll see what he can do. If he falls on his face, we can then bring another guy in with some talent at RB and WR already in place

Yeah I don't think you guys show give up on Geno already. Bills fans are saying the same thing about Manuel. It's an affliction of long-suffering QB-starved fans. I can relate. I was just commenting on my affinity for Morris.

At this point, I wouldn't give up on Geno for anyone save Bridgewater. Things can change: Geno could play awful for the next ten games and look like he has no business being a starting QB, or another college QB could really catch fire and look like a can't miss but until either or both of those things happening, I'd prefer to not use another high draft pick on a QB.
