He didn't get beat because he was hurt he got beat because he overplayed the outside route and let Brown run right up the middle. That's a technique and eye discipline issue not a injury issue.

Exactly. His technique has been piss poor all season so far, and to add he's been constantly running his mouth after each play. He thinks he can stop anyone based off elite athletic ability, that is not the case. Him using injury is just an excuse.

I thought he turned the corner on being a more disciplined CB last season, if this continues - he not return to the team next season. Not with that cap figure.

Again, what does a knee have to do with technique and simple football fundamentals? No safety help you have to play the receiver towards the inside, he bit on the outside route and got torched.

Playing through pain affects both physical and mental aspects of the game.

I agree. I am amazed a poster here would pretend to be able to completely separate out the effects of injury from poor play, blaming the latter entirely on some mental shortcoming. I mean entirely. Really?

Football is a physical game with a mental aspect. Let's not forget that.

My own guess or prediction is that Cro's game will dramatically improve when he's healthy. And I don't even have to use my considerable intelligence to reach that conclusion.

Let's not pretend that he was the most technically sound corner before the injury, the knock on Cromartie throughout his career has been his technique and discipline inconsistencies. His career overall tells us that last year was more of a blip than a trend, he should have been traded before the season while his stock was high. Kenan Lewis was a good corner that was available in FA. He could have been had for a very reasonable price.

I never said he was or is the most technically sound corner.

But even if I did, that would be a more defensible position than saying you or any other fan can wholly separate his injury from his performance on the field.

The man admitted himself that it was his technique that got him beat and not his knee, I'll take his word for it not to mention what you can actually see on the tape.

The real question is what team would want Cro? Like who would submit a legitimate offer for him?

I made this thread weeks ago when he still had some value, I don't think theres legitimate interest in Cromartie at this time.

Cromartie played all pro today, did he even allow a catch? This is the Cromartie I want to see every week.
