Collie is just what the Jets needed a reliable experienced Wr who can separate and catch the ball. The problem with signing him was his history with concussions which has basically detailed his career. I would have also liked to have signed Brandon Stokely who re-signed after getting cut by the Ravens. But signing Cribbs who was cut during pre-season by the Raiders is a no lose proposition. If he can't play (and they've given him multiple try outs) then they'll release him. Gate actually looked ok on Sunday and had five catches and some yardage as a return guy.
Great attitude. It sure is a lot more exciting watching the NFL draft in April and looking at the bottom of the screen on ESPN during the Summer than it is watching an actual football game in Fall/Winter. /sarcasm
Where are you getting this from? That quote from Idzik was from last May, the first time we worked him out.
Stokley was cut again by the Ravens last week. Like Braylon Edwards, can no longer function at a high level on a daily basis.
If that's what it takes to field a winning team that is actually capable of making big plays offensively..so be it. I've watched enough great football in my lifetime. Now it's about seeing the Jets win.
why can't we use Cribbs the way we were going to use Goodson as far as being a pass catching threat out of the backfield? C
