Can someone explain to me why Bill "I should have live dynamite shoved down my throat while repeatedly stabbed in the eyes with rusty forks" Cowher was allowed to inject his biased pro Squeelers commentary on what is supposed to be an UNBIASED national game. Because last I checked he was a Steelers homer. And we already have a Pats homer (Nantz) in the booth. I mean how much anti Jets garbage can we squeeze in there? Did CBS really thing this kind of thing was appropriate?

Cowher was awful. Hope he never is in the booth again.

He called Antonio Cromartie, Rogers-Cromarite on a replay where we could see the back of Cromartie's jersey.

He also thought it was 3rd down a couple times when it was really second time which was annoying.

Pretty sure he works for the network. Is that why we lost?

I prefer Marv Albert over Cowher.

Listening to his Steelers bias commentary was annoying. Listening to him was like adding salt to the wound.

That was one of the worst telecasts ever. Nantz is a blowhard, sucked up to Cowher all day and Cowher just sucked . Only class in the booth was Simms.

It really was blatant homerism and a very tough listen. I felt like I was watching a Steelers broadcast on some local Pittsburgh station. Simms was the only good one in there.

My thoughts as well, I actually liked him in the booth because he gave a lot of insight. I didn't catch any bias at all. I think people are just looking to bitch about anything following a loss.

I don't think he was biased, I just think he gave too much misinformation which is annoying. I expect them to be prepared when they go in the booth.

I mean Cowher was straight up for most of the game though towards the end it was a Steelers-Ben lovefest, but considering the Steelers punked us I can't say that was a shock.

I don't really see the point of intentionally alienating one fanbase though, it's one thing if it's Simms or Aikman doing the Giants/Cowboys, they're professional broadcasters and part of the #1 teams, but had Cowher ever been in the booth before? I know they had Bart Scott in the studio to 'even' it out but geez, it's like CBS was trying to tweak us.

And now I hear Shannon Sharpe doing the Bronco game too...what was this week, some bizarre field trip where they send the studio guys out to do their fomer teams? Boomer was doing the Bengals too but at least Boomer's a professional broadcaster.

So the Jets played like shit, lost at home to a winless team, and people are bitching about the announcers?

    Yeah....that was the problem today.

It's not an easy job to go in there and do that. It's his first time in the booth so it's not going to be like he is Vin Scully up there.

As far as people complaining about the bias is it really that hard to understand that he kows most of those guys from the Steelers? I mean he did say some really nice things about Willie Colon as well because he knew Willie. There was no bias, just sour grapes.

Maybe they should have put him somewhere else. I heard him actually root for Troy during a play. Maybe his mic was supposed to be off. While the jets are being the turd on the field giving them their 1st turnover and 1st win,the last think I want to hear is a cheerleader in the booth. Ofcourse it has nothing to do with the piece of shit on the field that is the Jets, but we'll get enough from espn and the papers without having a 14tm man for the opposition at home
