Sanchez's is the all time NFL leader in fumbles per game with 43 total fumbles in only 4 years. I would hope Geno or any QB for that matter has a lower rate of fumbles.
According to a well known footsball interweb expert, the NY Jets would probably maybe be undefeated if Sanchez had not gotten injured by the new GM. He's like a pigskin Illuminati. He knows all....He sees all!
I dont know if guys know this But comparing Geno to Mark is plain fucking stupid they're nothing alike and every QB we have should not be compared to the one before him
Comparing Geno to Mark is inevitable. What the hell do you think the coaches were doing when they were in competition with each other for the starting spot? Of course you compare these guys because they play the same position on the same team. Pretty basic.
by that I mean *Geno throws a pick* "He's just another Sanchez" *Geno has a good game* "Even Sanchez had good moments" its getting rather annoying to read every time he plays, not just on TGG but everywhere
Gotcha. That's a little different. It's still natural to some extent to compare the old with the new, as in when you break up with your long-time girlfriend or something. After all, four years is a pretty long time. I think if you took away a handful of posters on this board, you wouldn't have that much of a fixation going on Sanchez in general, so you wouldn't get nearly as much of what you just described...with people getting baited into making those comparisons and such. Gotta move on with what you have, for sure. Yeah, everyone is different. What I think is especially stupid is projecting what Sanchez would have done if he were in whatever situation Geno is in. Nobody could possibly know.
I understand that but I think its unfair criticism for the kid because every mistake just means he's another Sanchez and every good thing is just Sanchez had good moments too I want to separate Geno from Mark and allow his mistakes to be his not any indication of him become Sanchez part 2 mainly because he's far more talented than Sanchez was his rookie year and has so much more room to grow I bet you if he doesn't lead us to the playoffs and an AFCCG berth then guys will say, well Mark led us to the playoffs his rookie year
Only time will eradicate that. Geno needs to prove himself too...he does that, and this talk ends. Jets fans will constantly bring up how Sanchez is doing elsewhere in the future as well. Nature of the beast.
Geno needs some big name receivers and a coach who can instill some much needed discipline into this penalty plagued team. Until that happens, it is difficult to say what the he is really capable of doing.
